Hi 👋 sorry for the late reply. I hope I understood correctly. So it’s a common radar image, the green circles you see frontal? The easiest version I can think of is using a travel matte for the objects linked to the ray. And then echo effect for gradually fading away. I haven’t tried it yet but google for ‘proximity’. This could also be a solution. But I’m curious how you solved it 😊

​@@MichaelPonch - you answered pretty much immediately. Thank you. Now - I was making an animation related to the war - the country I live in wages with its neighbor - Ukraine. Which is as mad as if Germany where you live would now bomb Austria, Or - for someone in the USA - if Baiden would suddenly attack Canada. I did not find a smart decision about the radar display, so I made it simple handicraft - with keyframes and it goes like this: kzfaq.info/get/bejne/gZhmetdhype2eqs.html But it is very clear - there has to be a smarter way - and I know much less about expression methods than you. Right after I asked you - how to do it? - I realized that in front of the radar ray - which I made with rotating line shape duplicated by a repeater with declining opacity of copies - I can use the same rotating line - colored in black. As a Radar ray is fading away - the shadow fades in forward direction so that it is the most dense - right ahead of the radar ray. And it has to reach the tail of the ray - by defining the number of copies of the black - shadow line. Radar ray and its counterpart are of course placed above moving marks and stable background. It's hard to tell. Doesn't CC Cylinder work at all? I got the excamation mark only when the composition was set to 32bits per channels but I still could use CC Cylinder. Do you have the latest version of AE?

Hi! When you open the shape layer > Contents > Shape (Group) > Transform the Anchor and Position have to be [0.0,0.0]. When that's not the case the shape is shifted. Hope that helps :)

Hi 👋. The ‘Create Nulls from Paths” Script has been integrated since AE 2018. But there is a free ‘Create Nulls from Paths Extended’ script (please google it). I’m not sure if it works in AE2015. But if yes then my tutorial should work in 2015 as well.

Yeah, I’ve read about the issue especially on Apple M1. I haven’t dared to install it on my PC yet though I haven’t heard about issues on Windows yet. But unfortunately I guess we have to wait for an official update. By the way I’m working on a Update of my ‘You don’t need the Saber Plugin’ tutorial 😉
