Wow, that's so nice to see a 80s kid like you in the motion design field. Now that I discover that I feel even more connected because I also grew in the 80s.

I miss this kind of channel on KZfaq. I don't look for glamorous channels with kind of fake lives. This is the real jewel. I'm a motion designer as well but now I've spending some time off recovering from burnout since last year. I've always wanted to do big stuff but in the last years all I want is a low rhythm, enjoy the ride, and small things. I suffer from anxiety and I'm trying to figure out how to sustain a motion design career with this crazy reality. I don't like companies that work as agencies with short deadlines and all those crazy things that come with it. I've been surfing the web trying to find things I can do to match my new me. Thanks for the content and have a great week!

Thank you very much 😊. Yes, the stress also took a toll on me. So I focused on the seemingly “unsexy” stuff. Maybe a highend project once in a while for my showreel. If your anxiety allows meet people personally and connect. From my experience this opens the door for job opportunities. Wish you all the best 😊

fantastic. But is it possible to add a few extra null controller mid way without needing to reset everything?
@modamarsh87474 күн бұрын
So basically we can animate the path manually, without motion track, right?

Michael, everybody who works in front of a computer may be replaced by AI. The trick is to learn AI and master it - Human + AI > AI :)

You can type a load of • as a text layer, crush the kerning, draw a mask stroke on the text layer, align to path, add a text animator with a fill colour, ramp up, now you have a gradient stroke. You can make it 3D too and have each text character align to camera.

Sir, how can we centre the null to 3D bunch of cubes (e.g. Rubik's Cube)?

ah yeah! the mocha ae. the mocha ae that i so very clearly paid for. the mocha ae i have acquired with my very own money to use for tracking. ... what's that

Hi did you know why when the null exits from the screen it changes position like it flips, it's like when it goes behind the camera something happens... Thnx

Hi Michael Congrats on the b-day from Denmark - next year you can join me in the 50s😉 Love the channel and this video in particular. I’ve used the technique quite a bit, but initially struggled with bad antialiasing from layering copies on top of each other…(made a post about it way back) Not rocket science per ce, but here’s my solution: You need a copy of the finished state of the text drawing to act as a matte. You cannot however - pickwhip the offset layers matte to this copy, as it too will allow for a ”boosted” edge ugliness of the stacked layers. Instead, you need to place the matte at the top of the comp and set transfer mode to stencil alpha. Alternatively, precomp the layered copies and use the ”standard” matte method (with only ”one layer”, edges will behave nicely). Hope that makes sense… Looking forward to more vids, Michael… Thank you, Michael😊

@user-sj9js1nx1n please let me know if you need help. The composition is quite convoluted because of the transporter effect used 3x. It becomes clearer when you strip it down to 1 effect.
@user-sj9js1nx1n19 күн бұрын
@@MichaelPonch yeah read my mind, I am currently trying to strip it down to 1 effect and found I can turn all three off by turning off the chromatic aberration layer, I can's see how to separate them and only turn the left and right ones off?
