The sitar is a plucked stringed instrument, originating from the Indian subcontinent, used in Hindustani classical music. The instrument flourished under the Mughals, and it is named after a Persian instrument called the setar.

Sitar is not Persian instrument. It is an Indian instrument...and sitar is a sanskrit word . The word "tar" means wire

It’s a cool project. Just not sure what it has in common with a sitar. Maybe the builder of this thing never saw a sitar? I don’t even mean it’s appearance. I mean the way strings are set up in a sitar.
