Making type in a circle is easy, but aligning it just right can sometimes be a pain. This is a longer tutorial for me because there are a few things to go over that just can't be covered in one minute. I will show you in this tutorial not only how to create type in a circle, but how to use your alignment tools in Illustrator to make sure your logo is perfectly centered. Also we will spice it up a little bit to make it stand out as a bold star logo.
At the end of the video there is another little tip to help you if your strokes are not scaling down properly. If this happens to you, on your top menu bar just visit Illustrator - Preferences - General, and make sure to check the box that says "Scale Strokes and Effects." Now your strokes will scale up and down proportionally with the rest of your items.
