In this project I’m trying to show another approach of making rings. Unlike my previous videos, this time I’m using solid wood (Iroko). Also, you can see another type of stone inlay (Amethyst) with shaping and polish work too, aspect that I’ve improved from my last project. My advice if you’re starting to make rings, is to try first with shavings type (or bent wood) because they are much easier to work and more resistant to distress. Otherwise, the solid wood has a unique character that adds singularity, and this is the reason why I still making rings also from solid wood.
If you are interested to learn to make wood rings, don’t forget to check my other ring videos:

beautiful ring and video, but i would suggest using a 10tonne epoxy glue for the stones, instead of CA glue. increased curing time however the stones will be able to take the stress of every day wear and general knocks without falling out :) x

Great vid ;-) you've inspired me to give it a go (more metal inlay oriented tho) I've done quite a lot of copper/aluminium inlay with slate etc but can be hard and messy so I like the idea of a easier material to work with, im always on a tight budget but wondered how expensive smaller offcuts of the more exotic woods are and where I could purchase them in the uk, Many thanks for taking the time to do your vids and post them ;-)

Saludos!

Hola Malibu! He probado varias marcas y todas me han dado buen resultado. Si tienes más dudas intentaré resolverlas. Saludos

Saludos!
