I can confirm it works. As soon as this video finished, i went outside to my CL9 Euro, did the exact same thing and yes it is louder. but only in the higher rev range. Normal cruising sounds the same until you give it the beans. Nice mate, cheers for that. Just gained a Sub

I did this on my tsx. It sounded sick. But dude you wont even imagine how much better it sounds with an actual cold air or short ram. The cold air intake that runs all the way into your bumper sounds a lot deeper but the short ram sounds a bit louder. You hear the vtec wayyy more and all my friends think I have an exhaust but I dont lol.

Hi bro. I did the same thing that u did, to my car, cl7 euro r but i noticed fuel consumption had increased without any extra increase in power. So what i did was, i attached back the rubber hose but instead of connecting it back to the long intake hose, i redirect it facing front towards the headlamp. It made the pipe a bit longer so as to correct turbulent flow upon entering the air filter box, or so i thought. Fuel consumption went back to normal, power is there and better breathing till redline. Needs a little adjustment to the box position though. Well, until i find a proper air filter upgrade, things will stay the way it is hehe. Thanks for the idea. Indeed changed how the car responds.

Hey man, what did you say at 3:11? How do you do this "properly"?
@KiwiCarLife
@KiwiCarLife 2 жыл бұрын
Turns out I was wrong here, you don't need a pod filter on the end. Just take the tube out and remove the box in the bumper if you want, and you're good to go
@theknightofren

@@KiwiCarLife Really? Wouldn't it affect the throttle body or anything? Like it will run totally fine with the tube removed for the rest of its lifespan and still pass WOF? No CEL? Would you recommend going with a CAI when removing the tube/intake resonator?

All you did was disconnect your intake from your cluster that's it..... You might as well do what I did and and put on a cold air intake and put on an aftermarket exhaust
