It is very helpful to hear the reasoning you use to explain these nuances. The title of this video doesn't do it justice! Sure, it started by talking about a camera I'll never own, but it was informative about so much more. Thank you, that's exactly why I subscribed.

Cullen I have a quick question for you, and if your answer can be simple, it would be even better. When color correcting, what exactly should I only correct? For example (Contrast, exposure, saturation, etc.) I hope you get my point, since your answer will definitely help me a lot

Cullen, I had a question. For Voyager Essentials, can we stack them on top of your 2383 (dwg)? As in, right before the 2383 (which itself will be before the "out" CST).

Yes you can mix and match the 2383 with the other voyager luts, although you might find that mixing it with some of them (mainly the Tone foundation ones) creates too much contrast or a too heavy handed "look". I find that using it in a layer node set to color or luminosity - depending on whether you want it's contrast curve or tones, and then mixing with other luts from voyager lead to a more interesting result.

@@BRjp007 Thanks, yeah I noticed. I tried it a day ago, and I found myself mostly just turning off the 2383 OR reducing it to just 20-30% effect of it. I don't know colour grading enough to even understand what "layer node" is. I have only been doing a straight arrow type nodeset with exposure, contrast and balance and then just a voyager lut, all of this sandwiched between two CSTs.
