These are adorable. If you leave the top double, cut w/ your deco scissors, then trim the flap away, it will cut better b/c it's a double thickness. I use deli sheets,to make my faux glassine bags. Stapels has them, 500 sheets of 8x10.75 inch per box for $3.99 online. Sams Club has them too.

I use the bags that boxes of cereal have in them one very large box of cereal make quite a few.

Thats a lot of damn work!

If you put a piece of paper or cardstock under/behind the top part, the zig zag scissors would cut easily.

Great tutorial I love creating my own too, but oh pattern ones to die for....love....here is a tip for cutting the top of the bag, take a piece of copy paper and place it behind the top paper flap and then cut, it will help give you a cleaner cut! thanks for sharing.

um whats in the tape gun like it isnt tape is it cos tape is one sided and it doesnt stick to parchment paper

Glassine is not the same as parchment paper. I love glassine, I bought a huge roll for my treats. When you put cookies inside, the oil does not seep through the glassine paper like it does with parchment paper.
