The linoleum stamp to make the wallpaper idea was just magical. I have done it on a much smaller scale for jewelry making with polymer clay and I too cut myself. I absolutely love how your wallpaper turned out, I would purchase that design for myself if I could, it has a “William Morris” feel to it yet it’s still modern enough for 2021-22, just lovely, you’re so talented.

Hi Anna, I am a fan of Stephanies's (Chateau Diaries) and Michael Petherick's (Doing It Ourselves) and Michael mentioned you made your own wallpaper so I immediately went to watch your video. By watching your video it has helped me so much. Thank you. And your wallpaper came out beautifully!

I have spent hours working on repeat patterns for graphic design (books, advertising, etc.) I never had any training in this and now I am very excited by you brilliantly simple technique. The last time I really wanted to do repeat patterns was in high school art class (age 16, 1969) when we were learning to do silk screen printing. I did a three colour design for fabric and my teacher was sceptical but encouraging. (She hadn't anticipated anyone wanting to do repeat pattern). It worked reasonably well and I got a good mark for the project but never tried it again until, in my late middle age, a client asked for a design involving a repeat pattern. (imagine excited panic). It worked to the clients satisfaction but not mine because it took far too much time and I did not feel comfortable charging the client for my learning curve. Thank you so much.

A little tip when cutting lino, if you pre warm the lino in the oven or with a hair dryer when cutting curves or lines the line is smooth and flows better unless you wanted an uneven look that gives it a feel of a woodblock. Thank you Anna for the tip of dividing the paper, I never thought of that, I will certainly use that idea from now on.
