I filmed this back in early December, and I'm finally uploading it! So much happier with my collection now that I've gotten rid of some of the extra eyeshadows and other products. Thanks for watching! 💕

Can you make a video explaining what you mean by "clean" and what the parameters of this are for you personally? People use "clean" to describe a lot of different kinds of products - is this avoiding specific ingredients for you? What would those be if that's the case? What would be your reasons for wanting to avoid them? What is it that persuaded you to take this approach with your beauty products? I am asking from a position of wanting to engage with someone who seems to care about this topic. You're willing to get rid of a lot of your collection over the next year and let this steer your panning. This has always seemed like a nebulous marketing term used to promote brands and scare about others to me. I'd love to understand the POV of why someone would take that approach.

Also the use of the word "toxic".

Good question though I thought clean beauty brands were about the ingredients isn't that their selling points though now I'm confused with what people mean by that. Also whats not the difference between clean and the cruelty free brands?

@@Sam-cr1nu cruelty free means not tested on animals anywhere. There are some minority of people who will go a step further and not buy from companies whose parent companies that aren't cruelty free, but this is a pretty standardised term for the most part. "Clean", from my understanding, has nothing to do with a finished product being tested on animals and relates to how people see ingredients that go into their products. The boundaries of what is and isn't okay seem vague and differ for different people though, thus my confusion on what's being eliminated here.

@@kalililiyes. I confess this bothers me a bit, makeup and cosmetics aren't toxic. Science has come a looooong way, it's not like we're still using lead in our lipsticks. Generally speaking this clean beauty thing is bs.

Would be interest to know what makes something “clean” to you and if preservatives scare you in beauty products.

It's great seeing you back on the YT space. It's nice to seeing your collection and how it's changed. Just like everyone else asking, I would love to hear your why's about why you want to move to Clean Beauty brands/products. If it's for a health perspective, or you're allergic to some of the preservatives, then more than fair enough, but a lot of what i've heard about in the space is against clean beauty as a standard, especially from MUA's discussing the effects of preservatives in makeup. Just curious on your thought process. 🙂

Most people (myself included) have switched to low/no toxic products since a lot of beauty products contain ingredients that are endocrine disrupters among other things

@@user-ic8wu9nv5bbe careful, the clean beauty stuff can be even more dangerous because they're introducing new ingredients that haven't had decades of testing behind them. Never has my skin and hair become worse than with the natural stuff over time. I do not believe in "clean" beauty at all.

I’d love to watch a “clean beauty” discussion video-I see you are getting some questions about this in your comment section, and it’s so important. I have done some pendulum swings toward and away from clean beauty in past years (I am totally on board with non-toxic and healthy products being our best case scenario, but I’ve gotten discouraged with greenwashing brands, short shelf life on natural products, and what felt at the time like very limited selection of products. Now the clean product landscape is SO much bigger and better!) It seems like these issues are fully on your radar, and I’d love to hear your thoughts on how our health is impacted by the products we use and how you will structure your product purchases going forward! Thanks for considering!

I've departed completely because they don't exist, what exists is new buzzwords and chemicals without decades of research behind them used to replace things that work. Sensitising, dermatitis causing chemicals and everything else you said.
