It's great seeing you back on the YT space. It's nice to seeing your collection and how it's changed. Just like everyone else asking, I would love to hear your why's about why you want to move to Clean Beauty brands/products. If it's for a health perspective, or you're allergic to some of the preservatives, then more than fair enough, but a lot of what i've heard about in the space is against clean beauty as a standard, especially from MUA's discussing the effects of preservatives in makeup. Just curious on your thought process. 🙂

Would be interest to know what makes something “clean” to you and if preservatives scare you in beauty products.

I’d love to watch a “clean beauty” discussion video-I see you are getting some questions about this in your comment section, and it’s so important. I have done some pendulum swings toward and away from clean beauty in past years (I am totally on board with non-toxic and healthy products being our best case scenario, but I’ve gotten discouraged with greenwashing brands, short shelf life on natural products, and what felt at the time like very limited selection of products. Now the clean product landscape is SO much bigger and better!) It seems like these issues are fully on your radar, and I’d love to hear your thoughts on how our health is impacted by the products we use and how you will structure your product purchases going forward! Thanks for considering!

I've departed completely because they don't exist, what exists is new buzzwords and chemicals without decades of research behind them used to replace things that work. Sensitising, dermatitis causing chemicals and everything else you said.

Can you make a video explaining what you mean by "clean" and what the parameters of this are for you personally? People use "clean" to describe a lot of different kinds of products - is this avoiding specific ingredients for you? What would those be if that's the case? What would be your reasons for wanting to avoid them? What is it that persuaded you to take this approach with your beauty products? I am asking from a position of wanting to engage with someone who seems to care about this topic. You're willing to get rid of a lot of your collection over the next year and let this steer your panning. This has always seemed like a nebulous marketing term used to promote brands and scare about others to me. I'd love to understand the POV of why someone would take that approach.

Also the use of the word "toxic".
@Sam-cr1nu6 ай бұрын
Good question though I thought clean beauty brands were about the ingredients isn't that their selling points though now I'm confused with what people mean by that. Also whats not the difference between clean and the cruelty free brands?
@alienari6 ай бұрын
@@Sam-cr1nu cruelty free means not tested on animals anywhere. There are some minority of people who will go a step further and not buy from companies whose parent companies that aren't cruelty free, but this is a pretty standardised term for the most part. "Clean", from my understanding, has nothing to do with a finished product being tested on animals and relates to how people see ingredients that go into their products. The boundaries of what is and isn't okay seem vague and differ for different people though, thus my confusion on what's being eliminated here.

@@kalililiyes. I confess this bothers me a bit, makeup and cosmetics aren't toxic. Science has come a looooong way, it's not like we're still using lead in our lipsticks. Generally speaking this clean beauty thing is bs.

Glad you’re back! EWG has a great cosmetics database called Skin Deep that assesses all the ingredients in makeup products and gives them a safety score. It’s been a helpful reference for me in navigating what to buy.

HI! So good to see you here again. Would you please explain your choice of clean beauty?
@user-ic8wu9nv5b6 ай бұрын
Most people (myself included) have switched to low/no toxic products since a lot of beauty products contain ingredients that are endocrine disrupters among other things
@daisiesandpandas12186 ай бұрын
@@user-ic8wu9nv5bbe careful, the clean beauty stuff can be even more dangerous because they're introducing new ingredients that haven't had decades of testing behind them. Never has my skin and hair become worse than with the natural stuff over time. I do not believe in "clean" beauty at all.

Welcome back! I was in the nood for some panning content and decided to check if there was anything new from you. Congratulations on your pregnancy! I've always heard clean beauty is a gimmick. Preservatives can be a good thing. I am always hearing about how Kosas products expire early and smell funny and things like that, even from people that love the brand. I love Sigma though and they market themselves as clean these days. I've enjoyed everything I've tried from them.

All the recpect but clean make up actually arent clean make up is make up , they arent using long wearing chemicals but this means that it is going to bad too soon probobly clean make up is expired the time you didnt finish and you still enjoying it

Welcome back!!! I missed you a lot. About going clean, I totally see the reason and your motivation behind this decision and I think it's valid, however don't declutter your products just because they are not "clean" (if they're in good condition and you feel comfortable doing so, of course). Cosmetics aren't toxic, science has evolved a lot and there's loads of reliable studies backing up the ingredients that are used. I'm not saying you should continue buying products that are not "clean", just enjoy what you already have :) and congratulations on the baby! ❤
