I didn't know makeup people shaved their faces at all until a few weeks ago. It still blows my mind that brands assume I'm doing something that annoying just to wear their product at all.

As someone that can't be bothered to shave/wax even more parts of her body (aren't legs, armpits, the line below the navel, neck, chin, upper lip and eyebrows enough??) I also appreciate Amanda repping it and definitely believe people need to chill about women having hair!

Nothing makes me feel more validated than seeing luxury products being less than perfect lol. I get that people have their preferences, and will buy what they want, but IMO for a high price tag, it needs to be absolutely flawless for whoever is using it. And honestly, they could have done better than a jar.

I love your peach fuzz! I have peach fuzz. Even though we are different skin tones, It makes it easier to see how a product would lay on me. It took me years to figure out why I didn't like a product. Turns out it's bc I didn't like the color against my peach fuzz.

Not that there’s anything wrong with it, but if the peach fuzz is causing makeup problems, have you ever tried using an eyebrow razor to gently smooth it off?

@@skincarewithaustin I have chronic urticaria and eczema. It's not worth flaring either of those up. I did use one of those eyebrow shavers when I was in my early 20s, but stopped when I realized it was irritating my skin. Also, I'm Black so all of those things come with very bad hyperpigmentation. I find having a great skincare routine and just using concealer around my eyes or random spot the retinol/vitamin c/ azelaic acid hasn't removed yet helps.

Hello Amanda! I know you and some of the subscribers like me love luminous makeup items, especially blushes and bronzers. I’m curious to see a comparison between luminous bronzers (and blushes) since it seems like it’s becoming a trend, especially with all these “glowy illuminators” coming out left and right. Tower 28 bronzino, makeup by Mario skin enhancer, elf putty bronzer, etc. I wonder what the specific differences are and if the high end ones are actually worth the $. Thanks so much for your content ❤️

Would you ever do a like "thought I hated these products, then I gave them a second try and actually I like them" type video? this question inspired by the L. A. Girl Skin Tint that I think you recommended. I tried it once, thought it sucked, disappeared, did nothing. Then as i was listing products to resell on Mercari, I decided to give it a second try and just added twice as much product as i'd usually use and it's SO SMOOTH.

The star design on the CT compact is inspired by an iconic Hedy Lamar photo from the 40s, which is fitting for her Hollywood line. But I totally agree the execution leaves a lot to be desired, and most of her packaging in general does not have a luxury feel, despite what KZfaqrs used to claim about it. I think thats forgivable for the products of hers that actually perform though!

Hi Amanda. I’m 53 and have been shaving my face DAILY for years now. I don’t NEED to (I could probably get away with once a week or so), but I absolutely LOVE the way it makes my face feel, and the way my foundation looks. Waxing gave me horrible red bumps that lasted weeks, and I’m pretty sure an electric razor would have irritated my skin, too. But a REGULAR Venus razor (like you would use on your legs) does not bother my skin one bit, and my skin is very sensitive. Just and idea you might want to try. Those dermaplaning blades look brutal to me, and I’ve never felt the need to try them, when a regular razor works so well.

I had the *exact* same experience with the sublimage foundation and peach fuzz, and agree that the les beige water fresh tint is better. I use the les beige water fresh tint as a base, and then the water fresh complexion touch as a concealer or to add extra coverage where I need it. The sublimage broke me out, it’s the Tocopherol (vitamin e). If anyone reading this breaks out easily from virtually any product, check to see if it’s the Tocopherol. Once I eliminated all products that have it (and it’s in pretty much everything; skincare and makeup), my breakouts decreased by 95% (still have pms/hormonal).

The CoverGirl super sizer mascara is a similar idea as the Loreal. It has a flat side for applying product and a comb for separating and combing through the lashes. Idk how they compare on the lashes I haven't tried the Loreal yet. But they just give me similar vibes.

I’m mad at Gucci for not making bronzer refill pans available to purchase! It makes no sense because the pan is magnetic and there is a hole underneath to push out the pan! There is just a tiny glue dot holding it in place, but once you get it out the first time it is easily comes in and out of the magnetic compact.

Hi Amanda, do you plan on reviewing the Chanel Sublimage concealer? I heard it's much more coverage than the foundation and Kacie even said she loves using it as foundation, and I've been dying to try it but hesitant bc it's so expensive. I have slightly protruding undereye bags and although you have hollows, I love finding concealer that kinda flattens the area like you do. Would love love love to see if you review it! I have super sensitive skin and spent over a decade with breakouts and scars from having to shave my jawline/chin (I have PCOS) and I discovered Pacifica Glow Baby Liquid exfoliator. It's a toner I use before my usual skincare twice daily for 2 days after shaving and then just once a day after that. I haven't gotten any bumps or in-growns in 2 months now and the scars from my past ones are fading! It's worth giving a try, especially because the price is great so you wouldn't be losing much if it doesn't work for you. I hope this helps you and others with this issue

Back in the naughts, Chantecaille, and Tony & Tina, had rosy bronzers. Chantecaille was Compact Soleil in Capri, which had some warmth, but it was also muted with a pinch of rosiness. Tony & Tina had one that went almost a bit plummy, but for fairer skins. It was a dusty, cool-toned bronzer. Then, nearly all bronzers went really warm, some bounding into orangy. Oppsy! Ya, watch out for those convex shaped products. They're much easier to shove the wrong way. 😬

I too suffer from breakouts or tiny irritation bumps when I shave/ dermaplane or wax my facial hair. I have found the cure. It will sting at first but do it 2-3 (night time) and your face won't break out. Rubbing alcohol. I know it sounds rough but in telling you I used to shave my face and the day after for like 3 days I would have 30 little tiny white heads all over my cheeks and now when I do that I dont get 1! I use a solution called no bumps but it's just straight alcohol. Very intense alcohol smell but it works! No joke! Lol. I use it under my arms (armpits) and same results. Stings girl a couple seconds but I do it 2-3 days after 1x per day and I have ZERO razor bumps lol.

I look better without foundation with just good skin care. I tried some lower coverage skin tints(KajerWeiss) and it’s the same. Any suggestions Ya’ll?
