I’m just getting into Lyft, I spent a grip of money to get everything I could possible need to include a foldable car seat, per your advice in another video. I just want to thank you for the amount of guidance you give in this field!! Down to taxes and expenses! I’m super excited to start! I’m in the military so that’s going to take away from time I can be on the road but! My salary combined with the hours I can put in to Lyft or Uber will help incredibly and you are helping a ton to get me started on it all! So this is just a huge thank you! You’re insanely smart and conduct business strategically, I love it!

What this corporate plant isn’t letting you know is that gig delivery is EXTREMELY market specific, each market is different. Some markets are slow, some have too many drivers. In my market I actually make far more $ on Monday & Tuesday than I do on Friday and Saturday due to so many drivers. New drivers; please don’t think this guy is the norm, or even legit. He speaks like a corporate drone, and he is trying to sell you on the idea of making $100k doing gig work. Any real gig worker wouldn’t be trying such a hard sell. He absolutely makes $ the more views he gets, take it with a grain of salt.
@FutureRideshareMillionaire

In my videos, I routinely let people know that it's market based and that any advice I give might not work and that it's best to test and learn your market. But you know what's crazy? I'll give the same advice I use to be successful in this space with people who actually live in my market and they still sound like you. I'm trying to hard sell it to people because the foundation of my channel is to help people be successful. Saying "any real gig worker wouldn't be trying such a hard sell" is a strong testimony to the fact that rideshare drivers tend to be gatekeepers and I'm not that. I've got plenty of comments from people who find my work helpful and those are the people I do it for. If that's not you, that's okay. Btw, since the year started I've already made just under $4000.

$100K - gas - tolls - state taxes - federal taxes - car maintenance. You're killing yourself working 18 hour days to profit nowhere even close to $100K. Also, working extremely long hours like that for an entire year is completely unrealistic and unsustainable no matter how much motivation you think you have.
@FutureRideshareMillionaire
@FutureRideshareMillionaire Жыл бұрын
In this very video that you have commented on, I clearly stated that I would not be working 18 hours a day. I have never had to pay any taxes while doing rideshare due to the standard mileage deduction. There's no tolls where I live in South Carolina. I usually spend 10 percent of what I make on gas so I'm assuming a $10,000 gas bill but I'm also using a debit card that gives me 7 percent cash back Car maintenance is the cost of doing business 🤷‍♂️

@TristanThomasYT why you keep defending this business Uber/lyft? You can do your video but when you really wanna help these drivers, you should listen to them in your comments and maybe do video to make these companies pay more. I drove uber 2017, I tried it again 2023, the difference is far than what you can think. But gas pice is not going down, car repairs are going up, tools are been raising. With all that, uber/lyft reducing their pay. (Driving 15min to pickup passengers and drove 10min to drop off for $8) Is that right?

Here's why everyone needs to be careful with these videos. This guy at 2:30 claims to take a trip that is paying $93-$101 let's call it $97. He says the trip will take 4 hours, incorrect it says 2 hours 15 minutes there which is a total of 4 hours 30 round trip. He claims to make $25 per hour on this trip which again is incorrect. He will GROSS $21.50 for this trip. Now let's look at expenses. 234 miles roundtrip will cost $26 in gas assuming your car gets 30mpg and gas is $3.20. Depreciation on the car at a conservative .10 cents per mile will cost $27.40. There are other expenses as well (Car payment, Insurance, maintenance etc..) but let's stick with the big 2. After these expenses, he will earn a net profit of $43.60 for 4 a half-hour trip which would mean he made 9.6 an hour without factoring in other expenses. Mcdonald's in my state is hiring at $16 per hour with benefits and PTO you're better off doing that than destroying your car for no money. BE WARE

That's an estimation. Here's the actual time it took me to complete this ride: photos.app.goo.gl/g95uhktitwAxAhg59 I got it done in an hour 45 mins which means it only took me 3 hours and 30 minutes round trip. 😏😉 Depreciation doesn't matter. I'm not selling my car and we get 62 cents in tax write offs. Laster this month I'll be putting my expenses out there for the month and we'll revisit this comment in that video.

This guy is deff a recruiter for Uber and Lyft. The company gives you absolutely zero help with car, gas, medical benefits, safety and you’ll end up buying a car once a year bc your putting high mileage on the car and they want 30-50 percent of your pay per trip just for connecting driver and the rider.
@FutureRideshareMillionaire

Can you be specific as to why you think I'm a recruiter? Outside of the regular referral system that both you and I have access to, i don't get paid to make these videos by Lyft or Uber. My car cost $13,000 and it's already made me over $80,000. If it last this year, that number will be $180,000. This is a business. Businesses have expenses but if you asked me if I would spend $30,000 to make $180,000, my answer would be yes. This is just the cost of doing business.

Those goals change due to supply and demand ( flood of drivers currently . Last year i was averaging $3000 a week now ive scaled back a little got a girlfriend ect. You never really know what someone might be facing financially. They could be on the cusps of losing their home unless they come with a lot of money very quickly. They could be in need of money to pay for someone's life saving emergency surgery. There's a lot of financial reasons why someone might find it helpful to know they can work 18 hours if they need to. Anyways, be specific. Why does me casually discussing the theory of working two 18 hours shifts two days in a row while getting 6 hours of sleep after every 6-12 hours of working makes me a clown? Working 12 hours, sleeping for 6 hours and then getting up to work for 6 hours and sleeping for another 6 hours, why does that make me a clown?

I’m sure you are not a fraud, but knowing the mathematics and be able to calculate how to get there does not guarantee a safe, long and prosperous career. There are too many factors in this business that cannot be calculated with simple multiplications in a short financial forecast. 😊I think it is better to plan for 8 hours a day with two days off like regular people. I grossed $120000 with net pay $79000 by doing 40 hours a week last year. Well I still put on at least 10 pounds and have minor back pain because I am consistently sitting on my driver seat. 😮Please do not encourage people to drive 18 hours a day. Believe me, driving two consecutive days with 18 hours shift will kill you in the long run! Of course Lyft and Uber would love to see higher driver availability over the weekend! But It is impossible to work consecutive 18 hours shift on the weekend consistently. Please do not chase the money! There’s always somebody earning more than you! 😊 I have seen a driver in the airport showing his earning report gross over $200000 two weeks ago in airport waiting lot. He was driving nearly 90 hours a week! 😂 The most valuable thing in your life is your health. Since we do not have medical insurance coverage, I really don’t want to seek any driver wasted their time to earn honest money and gave it all back to hospital.

My goal is to get out of debt and quit rideshare. This will be my last year doing rideshare. Overall I agree with what you're saying but since I'm not trying to be a career rideshare driver and I also don't think other people should either, I'd rather show off the hustle in hopes it inspires other people to do the same and get out of rideshare. I think that automation will come from rideshare drivers faster than we think and it'll be too late for drivers to pivot unless they have a financial plan for it. That's why I'm going so hard. So no, working 40 hours a week, 5 days a week isn't enough.

Driving 18hrs? You are not only jeopardizing your own safety but endangering others as well. If you want to hit your target of $30 / hour, you'll have to be selective of the rides you accept and refuse, so that's at least another hour or two on top of the 9hours. If everything line up perfectly, everyday is a nearly a perfect day and nothing breaks down you might get somewhat close but the chances are very low.

One, this guy has to be on either coast. Those are the only places I can see averaging $30/hr. being consistently doable. Two, maybe it's just a Chicago thing, but I thought there were limits on how many hours you could do rideshare per day. Maybe that's just a Chicago thing though. Three, this doesn't seem to take into account things like repositioning after longer trips, or simply eating or going to the bathroom. If it's nine hours straight of constant pings, then maybe this makes sense. All in all, this simply isn't realistic for 99% of rideshare drivers.

I'm in the east coast. I have a buddy in Chicago that does Uber from time to time and averages what I average here. The limit is 12 hours then you have to take a 6 hour break and then you can continue driving. That's 18 hours. This does take into account time spent after longer drop offs. I average $25 an hour before rip even on long rides. I make use of slow times by staying online and still using the bathroom and getting food. Every second matters to me.
