Hello. I know this is scattered amongst a lot of my videos but there is a ton of ways to make flush images, text and the like. Move tool Cut tool Assemble on the build plate Modifier Mesh boolean It all depends on what you ultimately want to do. That's why I tend to use a bunch of techniques and let the individual decide. Yes. That is another way to "cut/slice off" the floaty bits. It takes a bit of practice, and just have to make sure you still have all the colors present. Excellent comment.

Yes you do lose the texture on one side printing them like this. I suppose ironing or fuzzy skin could add a unique look too but still not as good as a pei pattern. Do you use a PEO sheet(carbon weave or special pattern) at all? Also do you have a fav glue for assembly?

Ironing is pretty much what is in cura. I cant always recreate it but some (cheap)filaments dont iron out well. your options are iron all top surfaces, topmost surface only or all solid layers. So to fix the broken text it was a mix of Arachne wall generator and slightly moving the layers. Ironing helped with the overall coin though @ 18:21 I had a chance to downgrade firmware but I will likely pass on the custom firmware. I am currently out of warranty so I am in no hurry to run someone's beta software which could cause issues. Also I haven't seen any prints from the X1+ project so I cannot say it will be better, yet. There was a time I would have pored over all the analytical data that it offers but I seem to spend more time doing projects vs tinkering with printer settings if that makes sense.

The prime tower will be as high as the last color change. So if you created a box that was 100mm high with 2 color changes. If last color change was at 50mm that's the rough height of the tower as there are no more color changes. You can see it in action when you "slice" the file. The tower seems high until the slice processes so it's automatically created. If you want it off you can go to the "others" tab and turn off the prime tower. This is helpful for models that use most of the build plate and the tower doesnt fit. Just YMMV if you get color bleed/blending in the actual print. If you use 'smooth time lapse" the prime tower WILL be the height of the model. Generally if people make a model with color changes all through out they can turn it on since the time difference is not that great. The print looks like it's growing on the build plate. Like this. ​@ashleys3dprintshop thanks for explaining this. Never fully understood why the bambu uses a prime tower with the AMS considering it purges filament already according to flushing volumes it calculates to prevent color bleed.

Hello. I dont use fusion but some CAD programs convert curved details into triangles. Is it blurry in Fusion before the export? Are you exporting your files as Step(stp)? They should keep their geometry instead of the triangle conversion with stl files. My way is a kludge method as you have to make an SVG file from an image and import it. Since I am using common logos its' not to difficult to make a 3d file. Using a CAD program gives you a lot more options. Are you making your text from an existing image or is it custom?
