A lot of incredible craftsmanship going on making some beautiful instruments these days. I really need to win the lottery. I would go to all those shops and learn all I could from these masters. So much to do, so little time.

I am quite proud to own it. Very easy to play, with a beautiful yet clear treble. If you're considering about acquiring one for your study, Jim makes guitars at a very reasonable price, so there shouldn't be any problems! Singapore humidity that almost 80 to 99%, which we cant help. Hoping this guitar able to take the condition, hence action will not keep rising.

I love the use of rope when you don't have clamps- Old School. Also the wedges to secure the strength. Think- how did they do it before powered blades, sanders etc?

The neck is raised 3mm at the nut position and the headstock is at an angle of 18º to the neck, although the latter is not critical.

@@ConVivo Right and thank you very much, but in the video on the preparing the neck and heel, you start by measuring a board (mahogany) and then 4 more pieces for the arm, I would like to know the measurements of these, at least the length. Compliments

@@Thejoaomsequeira - I start the neck with a total length of 580mm and thickness of 18-19mm. I mark down 220mm from the top, and it is here I make the angled cut of 18º to form the headstock which I then reverse and glue to the remaining part of the neck as seen in the video. From the angle of headstock/neck I allow 5mm for the nut, 325mm for the scale length, 25mm for the heel glueing area and another 5mm to allow for some leeway. The heel pieces are cut - two at 90mm and two at 115mm with a thickness of about 20mm. These are glued together, again as shown in the video, and then glued to the neck.
