A really cool concept and I love the engineering in it. When doing the test with the wood I couldn't tell which one was the rod and the the other was the nunchaku.

Kali and Nunchucks/Nunchaku all in one.. perfect!! I thought about doing this a much simpler way, but this is better looking.

They're quite effective to use, but the problem is that trying to switch up from the staff part and nunchaks part, that was hard to try and do, switching it up when training with them

You just use the staff part, and attack them, when you get them dazed or bruised unscrew it slowly but hastily than as they try to attack again just wack them with the nunchaks

me and my friends made these when we were 14 years old. it was just a joke and we would practice also throwing them. my older brother approached me and said that the police watched as we walked down the street with these nunchaku . he told me that i was getting older and to be aware of my actions in public. we were so childish and didnt know that this was wrong. thanks, big brother for wising me up. that was around 1969. rip, troy

With full machine-shop facilities and the relevant skills one can make almost anything. Well done. However I make my own old-style with 2 pieces of wood held with string, much like the Chinese and Okinawan farmers made theirs way back when.

Unfortunately they will get you 6 months to a year in jail in most states, especially even if you use them in self defense. excellent job in making them though. i used to have a pair when i lived in Oregon they are legal up there.

on the original nunchaku the ends that hold the chain rotate so that the rods do not twist the chain

To heck with braking stuff, the question is, after an hour of just swinging them around will the chain in the female side mess up the threads and stop them from threading back together ? If not, I promise it will eventually.

Do you think you could build a kind of Maglite/flashlight nunchacku? Maybe the flash light is one piece until you unscrew it in middle, something like that. Perhaps a concept/mockup; you could secure a flashlight in one end? I think that would be interesting to see haha

Смотря какие размеры каждой секции сделаете, думаю если укороченные сделать и металл мягкий, то они не подпадут под закон о холодном оружии,кстати можно максимально замаскировать нун чаки, сделав несколько проточек фальшивых колец по длине изделия в сборе,чтобы место стыка закручивания скрыть максимально.а вообще данный вариант задумки очень впечатлил!
