Back with another beading tutorial today to try out the little idea I had last time to test out a similar design in clear glass beads on silvery wire. It took me a few tries and far longer that I really like to admit to work this spiderweb dipped in ice inspired design. I hope you enjoy today's necklace!

But wait there's more! A PO BOX finally wahoo!
First, a disclaimer: So many of you have kindly offered to send me things, including vintage items you may have inherited, and I am so honored you would think of me and of course I do adore vintage treasures, however, unfortunately I only have so much storage space currently! So there is a chance that if something just wont work for me, or doesn't fit me etc, that I may not be able to keep all of your lovely things. Please only send things if you are okay with the possibility that I may donate items I just cannot keep. If you would prefer I put things that I can't keep into the TCH Etsy shop to help raise funds for me and the channel, please specify this in a note or letter in your parcel. Thank you so much!

While it wouldn't be vintage, I think this necklace would look fantastic over a darker colored mock turtleneck to really allow the silver to shine. I might just have to purchase the beads and such to complete one of these myself. Though I don't have anywhere to wear this to for this year, he's hoping that the next winter holiday season will be better for going places. It's a beautiful pattern!

Hiked the Pino Trail in ABQ with my best friend for birthday treat today. We held our breath (masked up) and hugged. And about cried. We see each other every day, but haven’t touched for months. Sigh. But she gave me a “eff”-flake for my Christmas Tree, lol! My rocket- building boys are going to flood it with superglue (like a tail fin) and I’m going to spray paint it aqua to match my tree decor. The necklace is beautiful! I’m enjoying your creative flow lately. 💖💖💖

Very nice project. This is another example of where the goth style can lend itself very well to the earthy celt style. I love spiders and love their physical and spiritual beauty as well. I am very fond of repurposing tasteful Halloween spider decor for year round use and was highly disappointed when Walmart put away all of the irradescent bowls with the spider legs Halloween night and not putting them on sale for me the next day as I am used to. Oh well maybe those will be out next year.

@@TheClosetHistorian I wonder if the earthy celt stuff also reverses to gothic?

So pretty--I love both versions! I'd really love to try something like this...but I have a feeling it would just end with beads all over the floor

Extender chains might be a bit more of a newer thing, but extender ribbons on the other hand- very popular during the Georgian period. But I don’t think a ribbon would work as well with this very delicate spiderweb design- they’re great for larger beads though. Dames a la Mode does reproduction Georgian and Victorian jewellery, and she does have a few necklaces with extender ribbons.

So delicate and lovely! My inner magpie was enthralled with this. Do you recommend specific brands for beading tools like the shuttle, mat and cutters? Your decorations are awesome. Love the lights giving the objects their due atmosphere.

Thank you Reina! I picked my tools up a decade ago so I'm afraid I have no idea what brand they are really, I just got them with my shop discount since I worked at a bead shop back then 😅
