John, loving this build. On your steering column extension. May I suggest you drill through the flange and tube, then insert a roll pin? That way if the weld somehow fails you will not lose steering. Again, just a suggestion from an old-timer. Cheers.

Great video, John. From a safety standpoint, a square rod within a square tube with a breakaway pin so the column isn't pushed into your chest is the way to go. I'm just thinking of your health, buddy.

I absolutely dig the sign but what happens if a big gust of wind hits it is there going to be enough weight at the bottom to keep it from tipping

At any normal show, I wonder how many people wouldn't realize how much extra work went into this because they won't know you cut the pinch off. It's so subtle.

Would you consider using 3/8 lines rather than 1/4 for the air, it'd damm near jump off the ground lowrider style when airing up haha

Im not the biggest fan of the double rag joint to be honest. Its a soft point on top of a softpoint. Also two points of wear and possible failure. I do agree its nice to be able remove everything really easily, but I would suggest replacing atleast one of those 2 rag joints with either a universal joint or just a steel plate that has the same bolt patern as the rag joint. Other than that I am loving the progress. Really makes me jalous as europe doesnt like chassis swaps that much!

Double rag joints? -sorry but I’m not a fan. Plus that vw (gray) rag joint looks like urethane, which are commonly reported to fail. I like urethane parts, but in a non-safety style rag joint you could end up with a serious problem.
