That was a fun watch man. Aside from the actual golf side of things, it's fun to watch the stuff that makes golf happen. And man, that putter looks beasty!

That’s pretty freaking smart of that company to do. Makes a lot of sense as long as you’re okay with a chunky grip… which almost every company making armlocks use. I think Ping is the only company I’ve seen with a more skinny grip.

GP: I used that grip to change a Ping Cra-Z belly putter to an armlock. Installed with no cutting necessary and worked like a charm.

Have you noticed more head "feel" with the stability shaft? When putting on grips I use a rubber vice clamp, put a small level on putter face to get it exactly vertical, and then a plastic paint roller tray to catch the solvent. Hope it rolls true.

Question my friend. Looks like you gripped using a reverse arm lock (right side). Thinking of doing this myself. I have a two ball not being used. What direction do you line up the grip? If you do it one way (reverse) it will deloft (0 degrees) and the other over loft (standard left arm lock) at 5-7 degrees I'm guessing. So for a reverse, where do you line up the flat side?

you are correct. you would flip the flat side down to do a trail arm lock to keep your putter loft neutral

Does the arm lock grip come with the additional shaft for the grip?

Nice video. I also made a couple armlock putters from standard putters just to try it out without having to buy one. I didn't buy that grip (don't care for the fat grips at all), but I used a propane torch to heat the bend of the shaft near the hosel while using a vice to hold the head. When I decided I would go with armlock, I bought a real one and found that the armlock heads are heavier than the standard ones. My question is have you now used this 2 ball putter and does it seem lighter? I putt much better with the heavier, true armlock putterhead.

Love to hear that you made some DIY armlock putters! I think for me since I used the stability shaft the putter felt decently heavy even though maybe the head was a lighter than an actual armlock putter. The difference in weight didn't really bother me honestly. I do prefer my actual armlock putter though I will admit.

It’s a lot easier and pretty cheap to take it to or send it to a place with a digital loft lie machine. I work at a place with a manual loft lie vice, but I wouldn’t ever trust it to be #1 accurate, and #2 not possibly snap the head off of the club I’m working on. Using a blow torch and a vice is one step below that haha. But if it worked, it worked 🫣😂

If you don't mind me asking what height are you? I'm thinking about trying it. I already have a 38" Odyssey tank 7 putter that I like but have been wanting to try the arm lock I'm actually thinking about doing this on that putter like it is. I'm only 5'8". So I believe it would work. Thanks

Are you still using arm lock and was it a problem with a lighter club head when going to an arm lock

Still using armlock but not this specific putter. Not gonna lie wasn't a huge fan of the build on course haha.

I have might have missed it--- whats the lie angle and loft now for the putter?

This offset bore grip keeps the original loft and lie of the putter. However, you need to assess any stance changes you need to make for this grip to insure your current lie is what you want in a arm lock putter.

Isn’t that grip designed to add the loft to the face so you don’t need to get it adjusted? Just asking looking to get one.

Yes that is correct it adds a little loft so ideally you will not have to adjust it.

Hellooo I don’t know if you still reply to comments but today I went to a golf shop and tried to make my regular putter an arm lock. The guy at the counter told me that my current putter is 32 inches (I got it when I was short) I’m 5,8 now) and he said it’s going to be 34 inches with or without the long grip idk. Do you think he was referring to it being 34 inches overall? Because I doubt that’s enough to fully get the grip on my forearm

34 is definitely too short for armlock overall. Most armlock putters are 40 to 42 inches overall as far as I know. I am 5'8" as well and I use a 40 inch.

He was saying the grip alone won’t change the length of the putter. If you need a 34 inch putter for regular putting style because you’ve grown, adding this grip alone won’t change the length of the putter. You have to add a shaft extension to your current putter as he did in this video. Then, when you’re finished adding the extension, you can add this grip which is specifically made for converting regular putters to armlocks. The uniqueness of this putter grip is it adds a few degrees of loft to your regular putter without you having to go get it bent on a digital loft lie machine.

How should yo measure out the tape to make sure you have the right length to fit the grip? Thank you.

To be safe just make it a little less long than the grip itself. There may be some excess that you have to cut off and it could be ugly but its a tradeoff to make sure you put the optimal amount of tape.
