I love this idea; I am definitely making this for my grand daughter; however I am not quite understanding how you sewed the scales on? I wish you would have showed a close up of sewing them on.

I used fabric glue for the scales, you can add a small stitch at the top of each scale if it helps.

I have scoured the internet looking for a tail for my dragon costume and haven’t found one I love until I stumbled upon this video! I am almost completely new to sewing, are there videos you suggest watching along with/before this one to help me be able to construct this tail well?

Can the scales be made of a more harder/firm material? If so what do you suggest

You could use EVA Foam and paint them? Or get a thicker/firmer pleather?

It's so gorgeous! I've been looking for a dragon tail pattern to complete my son's costume for a while and this is it! Do you have the template of the tail piece and waist piece or approximate measurements please? Thanks! 😊

My daughters waist was 60cm and the tail peices were about 10cm long each

Love your dragon tail! I couldn't understand how you actually sewed the scales onto the tail? Did you hand sewed the scales on?

Hi there, they were sewn into place and I used a dab of fabric glue as well.

Hi! I just found this video and I was wondering what materials you used for the tail and how you sewed them one!! (Specifically the scales)

It's lycra for the tail base, cotton twill for the harness and straps and faux leather for the scales. I use a mixture of fabric glue and small stitches to attach the scales
