Great work 👌 Body buck must be the expensiest part. I plan the same with a 500Mondial or 166mm Barchetta

This is excellent work. Could you please let me know what type of foam you are using and also did you use Polyester resin when coating the buck with the GRP /glass fibre matting?

It looks to me like polystyrene foam and therefore you'd have to use epoxy resin. If you can find polyurethane foam in rigid closed cell then it sands much better and you can use the much cheaper polyester resin. Polyester will quickly dissolve the polystyrene - the two don't mix. However, once he has a strong shell that won't leak through - it looks like he has used polyester body filler. That's just what it looks like to me though....

actually I take that back - it looks in an earlier video like he is using a PU spray foam-in-a-can. Since he seems to be using Soudal products it could be this one: kzfaq.info/get/bejne/pbdjp9t4xLqtkX0.html . It is an ingenious technique!

It’s a specific spray paint called “Guide Coat” that lays down spotty.
