Your canvas is made wrong because you don't know what your doing first thing is to add a 11/2" lap at both ends notch metal cutting one of the laps off leaving only the canvas material the other you notch away the part crimping the canvas leaving a 1 1/2" tab bend tab with pliers or tongs bend canvas over a table edge with smooth side inside for smooth air flow fasten metal tab at corners you should have 2 canvas tabs on the inside as well using a long throat heavy duty bag stapler staple canvas on the outside along the corner 4-5 in a row On the inside hold tabs together and staple then fold tabs towards the corner and staple again Done !!!!

@@davidnichols4229 that Is one way of doing it yes but that’s not the only way, just because someone made it different doesn’t mean it’s made wrong 👍

Perhaps you could make a video where you install the connector, showing what you do to the sheet metal portion of the connector and the duct ends to make a complete assembly. Is your spot welder a Durodyne portable welder on a stand? Was your connector material from Durodyne? To me, it looks like the long arms don't apply enough pressure and that is why you get the arcing.

Hi, can this canvas flexible duct connector solve voice traveling in air ducts between rooms while air system is off.? also, can the canvas duct connector connect vent boots and air ducts to eliminate voice traveling between rooms?

Sorry didn't catch your name; nevertheless, Thank You for your video. I do have a question. I have 2 of these flexible air duct joints and the rubber is not covering; its let go. Fortunately I qualified in my county for a new furnace. However when the county inspector inspected the new furnace installation; I notice the rubber on the flexible joint was flapping in the wind and ask don't they prepare the 2 flex joints: I was told no!. (? Cost of a furance but not 2 flex joints?) So this stubborn red head is on a mission; broken back or not. When the airconditioner on it freezes in the basement while on the main floor one's almost sweating; I'm thinking it's because the rubber in the flex joint is flapping as if nothing was there. Finally my question is until I can save up the money to build what you showed in your video the proper way 》My question is can I use the High temp aluminum foil duct tape to go over where the rubber meets the metal on the flexible joint??? Just till I can save up enough to fix it the correct way. Once again Thank You so much for your video. These kind of videos really helps when one isn't properly educated in the field. My degrees are math/logic Accounting Degree and Computer Programming Degree
