I make a 3D random dragon in sculptris then in Zbrush. Sculptris is just for the major details. I used dynamesh and zremesher after taking it from Sculptris, but it didn't work so well.
Update I have learnt alot of new techniques in Zbrush to model easier and make cleaner topology,

Sculptris part is sped up x2000
Zbrush part sped up x700
Over all about 6 hours of recorded footage (Exactly 4 hrs in Sculptris), over 8 hours of actual time it took me to make it.
Some footage is missing from Zbrush, since i tryed carving holes (In the axe tail) and the program would crash it also crashed several other times when id use different options.

Dban One Ha, comes out alive and in life size form and crushes the 3D printer, and I just see it in the reflection of my computer.

I've been working a lot with Sculptris in my design class, and I've been watching videos to learn new techniques. I have to say though, this is one of the best models I've seen on here, and this made me really want to get Zbrush.

You are amazing. My class is working with sculptris and I found your videos and they are just utterly beautiful. I have always been obsessed with dragons so watching your videos makes me so happy! Very inspirational! I also love the game spore!

BTW to anyone asking about animating meshes made in Sculptris and Zbrush, unless you go ahead go through the process of retopolgizing your creation, the mesh won't be suitable for deformation. Density of a mesh only affects the performance of your comp when your trying to animate the model, but the mesh you get directly from Sculptris/Zbrush is simply too chaotic to have clean and good deformations, you want clean topology that will "flow" properly with the features of the creation. I believe Zbrush has tools for retopolgy.

Awsome job Just a friendly advice next time you model a dragon. i can point out the flaw you made was on time 6::39 when you start using seperate object to make the scales of the dragon. The only time you should do that is when using it for animating for parts coming off or if you want it to look like steel or iron armor plating. Next time try making the whole body including wings an so forth first. and extrude the scales not make it a seporate object. or you can map sculpt it. Then use the tools you used on time 19:10 when you where making maping sculpting tools texture for your dragon. You will notice the huge difference in both your models when you are done with it an it will give it a more aggressive organic feel for the model. But other than that Awsome Job. :)

I love this, but I can't imagine it walking because the skeleton it would have is a bit much... Just a bit of tinkering with the legs would do, and then it's perfection :D

Wow, amazing. I just started using sculptris. I'm brand new to 3d creating, this program is amazingly simple to use. Finally I found something to work in. How long have you been doing this? Your work is awesome. I wish this was a little slower.

I never thought to use Sculptris for the major details and whatnot. Curious, why do you use it? Easier to block things out? I'll try using Sculptris first next time and see how I like it!

Kelsey Blanton its like playing with clay, very very easy to concept and sketch with. ZBush is too complicated with the dividing and remeshing for the begining of a model, too much technical stuff to think about, like this you make it freely, then remesh it in ZBrush.

@Gabriel Thompson Cant find the reply button. But, I realize many people skip through the whole thing just to see the end product, then watch the beginning. And its so fast paces also because people tend to skip through the video more if its too slow. :P
