@@Farie0706 thus making it not 100% hand made and there's really nothing wrong with it. The machine was the one who sewed it. It's still far better than something a factory would make.
@Deontto
@Deontto 3 жыл бұрын
@@beluwuga2573 I personally don't see things that way. While some may consider handmade to mean non-power tools, others simply do not(look at wood working for example). In the case of the sewing machine, it's true that it does the actual sewing part but he is the one guiding and controlling it. He doesn't just simply set it there and it does the rest. Though not really trying to argue over the small things. Just for me I view "machine" made as a automated process. So regardless if the tool used was a power tool or some jig of the sorts I still consider it to be handmade as long as it isn't some truly automated process and the human being is in control.
@beluwuga2573
@beluwuga2573 3 жыл бұрын
@@Deontto well I guess it really depends on people's definition. Personally for me it'd mean no powered tools. Simply because if you're using for exame that sewing machine then a factory can also easily guide it. However Imitating a sewing of a master "whatever the word of someone who sews is" Is something that a machine would not really be able to replicate.

I don’t think all of these tools are absolutely necessary. If you are actually interested Bentley Leather Craft is a very helpful channel when it comes to leather work. He had a video on the necessary tools. He also made a video with another person Alec Steele and he showed how to do it kinda (granted it was a knife sheath) but you can get the idea from it and see what tools are really needed.

so during the lockdown, i have watched this video. and now i am into creating a laptop leather cover. actually i did some mistakes but i am really proud of what i have done so far. I am just sad beacuse the leather i bought on internet is pretty skin coloured and i wanted the same colour as you; rugged tan effect. So i bought some Diy for it .... but well it makes too perfect. It aint a cheap hobby, the skin is very expensive... And if you make a mistake.. well you have not to ! i am stitching by hands and i really like it. The only problem is that i am not very accurate with measures and symetrical cuts... ahah

This is absolutely beautiful. Gray work, photography and finish. I will be buying this template and hope it comes out half as nice and it will be a winner. Thank you for this great video.

I didn't come here from Peter McKinnon, I searched for DIY leather projects, and I stayed for the whole thing. No skipping or speeding up. You're editing, lighting, shot composition, all of that, is increadible! This is what KZfaq is all about

Have no clue why KZfaq suggested me this video, but I watched it entirely. I thought, wow, what a great product, handmade in USA, only to discover on his website that shop and all these fine leather products are made just outside of Toronto, Canada. WOW WOW WOW. Ama gonna drive to the shop to pick up that fine leather wallet. Definitely.
