cool, next time you try to weld two parts together I suggest using a magnet to hold them in place. it helps mostly small parts (example: bolts).

Just a tip. before completely cutting out the door, powerarc the hinges on then finish the cuts that way you know the door will close flush.

These types of projects are perfect for powerplasma cutters. they save so much time especially with non straight cuts.

being a welder i always flinch when the spark goes. I always smile at myself and say its just a video don't be scared .

just an safety note. anytime welding or grindling something what used to contain gas CNG LPG gasoline or other flameable substance first fill it up with water trough unmounted valve to push all residual gas away and avoid explosion or burn. Other than this nice work and idea

Ha Ha I love it! Great Idea! You sure as hell won't win any awards for welding (I am a welder..MIG,TIG,STICK) but as long as it does not fall apart, the choppy welds almost ad to the look of your project. Forget the haters, they bitch and moan and tell you what you did wrong, but at least you made it, more then those other suckers. Keep it up!

First of all geeat idea, second listen to the folks about welding class, third you should watch some of Allens welding & bbq biulding, And fourth dont listen to these numbnuts that say to never PUSH a rod, apparently they have very limited experience, because there are several reasons of why & when to PUSH a welding rod:: for instance Und Drr water & when welding cast iron as well as when you want single pass weld @ 100% penetration. Maybe these arm chair welders shoild go to school, because you CAN'T weld on Alaskan pipe line without being able to PASS 100% PENETRATION Test or pass underwater school without being able to do it. 53 years experience welding.
