I do like the handle very much! But I have a question about it also. You pulled vacuum on the material you used to make the mold, but did you use either vacuum or pressure or both when you put the scrubber and epoxy in the mold?

What an amazing idea. Do you mind if try doing this with a cu-mai Damascus blade I've been working on? I've been trying to figure out what to use for scales but I think something like this would be perfect. Edit. Dzięki, nigdy się nie kryliśmy z wycinaniem wodą, natomiast projektowanie jest zawsze przed wycinaniem, innej możliwości za bardzo nie ma. Po prostu kiedyś nie mieliśmy możliwości nagrania tego procesu

Why did you wrap the blade in basically tin foil before temp hearing and quenching? Then freeze it and then bake it?

Do you get a good heat treat with the stainless steel wrap on the blades? I always heard you had to do a plate quench with a wrapped blade.

Yes, It all depends on the steel, temperatures and times. You gotta know what you're doing :)

Yeah, some of your woods seemed similar at a glance. I'm personally thinking about sending you guys some antler and ironwood, along with a design I'd like to see you guys make. I'm going to wait until I have the money though, it'd be one of the bigger knives that's come from your shop lol

It transforms the retained austenite into martensite which results in higher hardness and better wear resistance :)

It's not your usual ice though :) It's much colder :) IF you want further reading, search for cryo ht :)

Beautiful blade man! I like that handle material.. I've used that same technique once.. and I also used a blue plastic scotchbrite pad in blue dyed epoxy alittle lighter than the pad.. it looked cool too.. excellent job!

Looks great! ....but I'd worry that the copper fiber strands will start to poke out around the handle over time and hurt.
