A friend of mine had a brand new, 1 wk old Jaguar destroyed at the hands of the dealerships employee who took her vehicle for a ride for lunch...the dealership offered to repair the front end damages only... until she threatened to get an attorney. She ended up with a new Jag that didnt compare to her original. 😑

To be fair, that was a possible scenario. In L.A, I dropped off my car for an odd sound/rattle coming from my dash, when idling. Two days later, they called me to come get it. When I got there, they said that they couldn't replicate the sound when driving it. I told them(again) that the sound was when it was idling, not driving. I asked the service manager to come with me to the car, so that I could idle it and we could hear the sound. When we sat in the car and I turned it on, the radio was on a Spanish station, really loud. Then I noticed some Mc Donalds wrappers on the floor in the passenger well and my mileage was 50 miles higher than when I dropped it off. I politely lost my shit with the manager and he comped my bill.

Eating in car while painting. A friend of mine had there NICE big camp trailer. It was at Dennis Dillion RV Dealer for some insurance repairs. My friend and her husband went up to just check on the repairs. The trailer was a mess. You could see that someone was sleeping in it. The storage tank was full of pee. The bathroom floor was dirty like a common business bathroom. The floor had signs of people who couldn’t hit the toilet. The bed had been sleeping in the Coach. The coach was locked in a secured facility. Chain length fence with razor wire on top. The bed was being slept in for several weeks. At this point it sounds like the owners of the camper trailer are lying. They discovered through the security videos that the night watchman had been sleeping in the trailer. Sleeping at nights in the camper. The company that supplied the nighttime guard watchman had to pay out the money to completely refurbish the complete inside of the unit. New floors, New bathroom complete, New beds. Everything that the guy could have touched or come in contact with was torn out and replaced. New curtains. New windows in the back half of the camper. Many Thousands. My friends have not excepted the trailer yet. So someone could have stayed in the car.

That plaintiff is full of Sh!t. My sister went through that treatment - when on that medication you are not supposed to spend a lot of time in the sun, no yard work, walks on the beach ... that sort of thing, but you can go outside, and you can certainly drive from point A to point B. You just need to wear a hat, long sleeves, etc. and not over do it, but going out doors is not taboo. And just before he gave that lame BS excuse, he had just finished saying the weather was awful. And his nip picking of every little thing, like the radio station - last time my vehicle was in the shop I got it back on a C&W station. Now, would it be nice if they put it back where they found it? Sure, and one could reasonably expect it, but it's not worth brining up in court or anywhere else. I'm surprised he didn't complain about the seat adjustment not being where it was. Whining little "victim" boy. I pity any woman in his life, but I'm sure if there is one, she certainly wears the pants!

I was a mechanic for 50 years and i never took joy rides in customers car. I actually hated driving them when i had to road test them. I've only know a few mechanics that rode customers cars just for the hell of it.
