The discoidal knife that I am making was used during the neolithic for skinning and hide preparation .
I hope you enjoy the story too.

Yes, I think I feel the same way. I stick with people and support them and I’m generous with my time, and I tell people who I care about that I care about them. Usually that comes back sooner or later. Now that’s not being selfish, it’s as you say, ‘community building’. It’s ‘paying forward’ for sure, but it’s very enjoyable. I will continue with it, and hope my genuine friends feel the same way. Thsnks for another fun vid.

Totally get what your are saying. I don't get services from people I can't form a relationship with. Some people are in business just for the money but, to me anyway, it is about service and caring

Always good to make friends with the mechanics and have a relationship with good people. I imagine Neolithic people had good conversations like this while making tools.

Hi Will, great story and yet another fascinating piece of prehistoric technology. The history of the 'discoidal knife' doesn't end there, the Inuits and other Northern hunter gatherer tribes still use this discoidal design for their knives today, although they are now fashioned from scrap steel and are called "Ulu" knives.

Thanks Will. How true. I remember my best friendships as those in my youth, where I was stationary in the same town for over ten years. Then, life hit hard and I had to move around due to the work, and I was forced to be more transient. Relationships at work (in large Companies) are usually competitive, and dishonest, but those from home, where self interests are minimized, are valuable and rare. Good you have such a community. Cherish it. I long to get back to one when I retire. All the best Will. Cheers!

Only our health & Family's health, comes before the health of our vehicle. When it is sick, or out of sorts, it's a trickle down in our abilities to be anywhere. Here, in the final resting place State of those Blood Baptized Texans Crockett & Bowie... I & my extended Family have been lucky enough to find the best set of middle aged brothers; who run an inherited garage that they'd worked in since high school for their Mechanic Father. They are Hispanic & work on a cash only basis. The irony here; lays in the fact that my deceased Father was a mechanic all of his life. Each time, over the past 12 years that they repair my or any of my family's vehicle, I always bring them lunch on the day of their payments. I shared with them from the start, that bringing them those lunches, is like bringing it to my own Dad for a job well done. ''Sense of Village'' is a damn important security of soul for all Tribes... be they modern or ancient. Thanks for the opportunity to Amen your gestalt Will. ...tTt...

IMO opinion we all do much better organizing ourselves in small groups, seems like the neolithic people where naturally democratic, as they had to get along, cooperate and be a contributing member. Sure we have advanced technology, we seem to be less civilized today. We need more comunity and less government, more personal responsibility, less police are needed. We don't need armies, or nucular arms , or these never ending wars, we neeed to heal ourselves first, set things straight, then we can heal mother earth.
