It cost me about 150 CAD on all materials and tools, and took me 3 days to make it. Fortunately, the sound is actually quite good. I used D-G-D tuning when playing the music in the end.

Hello. I was wondering if you could post measurements (specifically for the wood used in the neck) and materials used. I want to make one myself and am looking forward to doing so. This seems like the most accessible approach so far.
@orlyosiris2245
@orlyosiris2245 2 жыл бұрын
The neck is about 40*1.5*1.5 inches, the belly is 7*2.5*2.5 inches. I forgot the exact name of the materials, but the neck is definitely hardwood, the tuning bar is softwood, and the belly is a normal box bought on Amazon.

A nice video and the shamisen looks nice and sounds good as well. Though I think you should have invested a bit more into the tools, a kitchen knife isn't made for woodworking, using it for something like this could damage the knife and you could injure yourself with it.
