It's a great feeling playing with a cue you made yourself. I once spent 6 months making a snooker cue (clearly had no idea what I was doing as it took me so long). I messed up the last 5 minute step twice. The second time was unfixable. After another 6 months of being depressed wasting my time on that cue, I got motivated and made a new one in only a month this time. It was 10x better than the first one and now I use it every time I play. It's made me appreciate videos like this because I know how much work goes onto it. Good job. Looks amazing.

Hey, great post, instead of a shop towel, try plastic parts bag with the ca. The kind you get with anything bought online. Works great with plastics.

Kick ass!!! But would love to see one with wrap an a stainless steel joint an maybe even some points ( white) with a wood shaft, maybe in a blue color. Because ur work is Beautiful an, I am seriously thinking of buying one, it would be cool to see it being made before my eyes!!

Flame cue. Dark red, dark orange, dark gold, all metallic with Sycamore as your base wood. Oh, and a drunken pool cue would be awesome. One made like the drunken cutting boards and rolling pins, but a pool cue handle instead.

Hi, you got me on the idea to also start making cues. i made a pessure chamber from Stainless steel and made a master cue. from that i made a solikone mold. now i trun wooden raw pieces to the right size, make some grooves into them and put them into the mold. i need very little epoxy and have way less work after demolding. also i made a cuemill and it works great. the joints i make on my metal lathe. i trun the hole exactly to the joint pin and then lgue it in, form there i also, as you do, start milling and grinding. Also what i do is i make a 300mm deep M12 thread into the wooden core, for weight adjustment. works great. i guess i will have to make a video soon :-)

Just noticed this video very cool in the design process but I had an idea of you haven’t tried before what if you were to use the edges you cut off the blanks from previous builds to make a whole new build in a blanks from the corners off old builds with an epoxy mix as an idea but cool video none the less

Have you ever considered making more traditional cues? Not that I'm slamming the epoxy style cues because they really are gorgeous. Personally I'm fan of sneaky Pete style cues and would be more interested in seeing one of those built.

Instead of packing tape try parchment paper the epoxy will not bond to parchment paper making it way easier to remove your blank

Yes the epoxy won't stick to the parchment paper but it doesn't stick to the packing tape eaither. But clever idea tho

What brand carbon fiber shaft did you use and where did you get it? It has a cool pattern on it.

It's the GO Customs Carbon Fiber shaft model 1. This model isn't made anymore. Google for GO Customs. The shaft is made by Goran Kobas from The Netherlands. The revisions of this shaft are even more awsome and don't have this pattern on it,

Have you tried the predator revo yet? I like the unidirectional carbon fiber. Looks more like a shaft than a checker board. Nice cue man

May friend saw this video and he made the butt. I tried to play with the cue....and all i can say WOW. The hit feels soooo good, deflection is reduced dramaticaly due too high elasticity of resin butt. I have tried it with his mezz wd 700 sahaft and compared to his old butt it is totaly diferent cue with lower deflection, more energy and better feel. Total costs of making this butt are 100$. Great butt with great performance.

why didn't you give any details on how you fabricated the carbon fiber shaft? I have watched several of your video's, I like the detail but in this one, you left out the more interesting part of the build, even if it was from a blank. There are still other questions about the shaft such as sanding, polishing, applying the clear coat and final finish. Would be nice to see your method.
