Beautiful as are all of your pieces! I have been making smaller clocks that have a slumped base and are free standing, but I can't seem to find high(er) quality clock works. I got mine off of Amazon and they work well enough, but would love to know if you can recommend a good supplier. Also, I love that template you have for the time (hours), very cool! It is always a pleasure to watch you work. You are so very well organized and methodical, it is a thrill to watch it all come together. Thanks for sharing ❣

You can use any drill press and add so-called "Belgian adapter" (www.hisglassworks.com/belgium-mount-water-fed-drill-head-assembly-for-sintered-core-drills.html). All core drill bits must be also designed for this adapter. This is very convenient. But if you drill holes only from time to time, you can use normal drill press with regular diamond drill bits, but either spray water to the bit during drilling, or immerse glass into the water.

That looked like a pottery kiln. I want to start using glass so bad but I don't know how to tell the temperature in my pottery kiln and can't get a glass kiln right now. Any suggestions on how I could use the kiln I have.

My kiln is a glass kiln. This is GlassMaster Skutt kiln. The only difference from the pottery kiln is it's controller and max temperature. The easiest way for you is to replace the controller. A more complicated - to understand what temperature each cone corresponds, and how to manage ramp time.
