Now that's a good caption, "Don't let it go to your head". KZfaq's official play buttons should have it on them.

I watch a lot of KZfaq, and this is definitely the best "I did something with a Play Button" video I've seen. I really prefer your quality-oriented approach over the "I have a good gimmick but I don't care how it looks in the end" videos that are all too common.

FINALLY! An actual perfect one. I've watched so many but they just put in a half-assed effort and they end up looking like scrap. This is an absolute beauty. I'd love to see you make them out of solid silver and solid gold when you inevitably hit that many subscribers ;) The gold one might hurt your pocket quite a bit though lol!

Can a milling machine be used as a CNC as well as manually? Here it's automatic but what if you just want to mill a simple straight slot?
@ChrisDePrisco
@ChrisDePrisco 7 жыл бұрын

@TimeWellSpentHere

Oh one more question :) is that graphite mold ? and if it is it look it`s easy to mill on cnc mill :)
@ChrisDePrisco
@ChrisDePrisco 7 жыл бұрын
Yes it is and yes it is! Graphite is amazing to machine. Unless you are machining very thin features it cuts beautifully and is perfectly smooth. The downside is, of course, the dust. It's pretty abrasive stuff and without good dust collection it gets everywhere.

Hey chris, what do you do with the metal filings from your CNC machine, do you recycle them in your furnace or just toss them?
@ChrisDePrisco
@ChrisDePrisco 7 жыл бұрын
I toss them. I don't make enough chips to justify sorting them or probably even the electricity it takes to run the furnace. It would be cool to recycle them if it were practical though.

What kind of Paint Pens were you using for the Graphics? Also, did you break any cutters? Copper can be a little tough to machine if you don't take it easy. Nice Job!
@ChrisDePrisco
@ChrisDePrisco 7 жыл бұрын
Just hobby store paint pens. You know, I didn't. I've always heard copper is hard to machine but it's one of my favorite materials to mill on this machine. Both the single flute and 3 flute carbide mills do a great job, never gum up like aluminum and the parts feel perfectly smooth right off the machine, even though you can see the milling marks.
