Oh we have a variation of this soup in my country (well, I'm a kid of three different cultures so I guess I should say "in one of my countries" 😂). I LOVE it. And a bit of advice to anyone who's gonna try cooking it - don't worry, you don't have to be precise and if you end up liking this soup you'll eventually start cooking a version of it that's just yours. I've always found it interesting how everyone's food ends up tasting differently even if they use exactly the same recipe. And that's really cool. So don't let anyone tell you your way is wrong. If you like how it tastes that's all that matters.

this is a favorite in my house! we LOVE dill pickle soup! you even used the same recipe I use, I could tell from how you read the recipe. I loved watching you make a recipe that is near and dear to my heart. this is a nice easy soup, it's so comforting and delicious. we eat it with bacon, pierogi's, and/or bratwurst!

Try the old bay on your eggs! It’s my favorite way to spice em. Def gonna try this recipe and just sub the chicken broth for veggie! Looks so good

I love pickles! I did make the soup but found 2 cups of pickle juice was too much for me. The second time I made it I only used 1/4 cup. A suggestion would be to add it in increments to your liking. Great video Mary!!!

Old Bay goes well with chicken. It can be used to season fried chicken, or spread over a whole chicken for roasting.

If you like chips you can try pickle flavored potato chips, this way you don’t have to get overwhelmed with new flavor and texture all at once :)

When the time comes, and it will! Because you are brave and amazing, and can do anything and everything in your own time, try the bread and butter pickles! (they taste neither of bread nor butter...I know, who was in charge on name day? Lol!) But if you like sweet with just a little sour tang, that is the best to start with, I think. After that, if you like them, the whole pickle world lays before you to explore! Good luck friend! And we all cheer you on in any exploration you choose to take on in the future. ^^
