Hi Mary, I think I've mentioned previously that my daughter and I typically make all of your recipes that you film. it's a whole thing we do whilst watching you make your recipe! This one is going to be made tonight: We just purchased all the ingredients and heading home now! I am a mac and cheese freak and will TOTALLY be making this thank you Mary! Edit: I made it tonight with some oven fried chicken! It was so good! the smoked cheese topping gives it a dual flavor and it is very interesting!😋 my favorite part was the creamy bottom layer. 😋You could totally skip the smoked cheese if you couldn’t buy it; it would still be a rocking mac & cheese.

Mary, you’ve got to try doing a roux sauce next 😃 No eggs, no milk. Just heavy whipping cream, cheese and seasonings heated on the stove top and then bake like you did here. It’s amazzzinnngggg!!!

Smoked cheese is amazing! I’m a fan of smoked Gouda myself. Also, I love putting a little bit of nutmeg in my Mac and cheese. The tiniest bit. It’s so good! I may have to try this recipe, even though I do already have my own that I like to make. I’m not against trying other recipes, so maybe I will. I’m glad you enjoyed it! 😌

I’m in the UK, and this is so much easier than the way my husband and I make Mac and cheese! We do the whole roux sauce thing, so it can be a bit tricky if it decides to go lumpy. Plus I’m gluten free, so makes the sauce even more finicky 😂 Think we’ll be trying this method now!

As a kid I grew up on Velveeta, but I haven't had it in decades now. My mother made mac and cheese with it, and toasted cheese sandwiches.

The things I’d do to turn this channel into purely cooking.

I wonder how it would be with mascarpone or cream cheese added in somehow. Probably would have to cook it into the cheese sauce first but that’s my secret to “doctorin’ up” my Kraft mac n’ cheese. I dump a tub of mascarpone (from Aldi) in there and mix it up at the end it makes it soooo good and creamy! If it weren’t for the blue box you’d almost think it was fancy🤣this looks yummy Mary! Truly a North Carolina style mac n’ cheese! Bring me a plate up to Greenville?🤣❤️

I started making mac & cheese from my own recipe about 16 years ago. I tweaked and tweaked. This will be the one I try next though - your resounding endorsement is more than enough for me!!

I make mine the same way except I don't use Velveeta and I mix butter sour cream and Seasonings into the noodles first then the cheese then put it in the pan and pour the milk heavy cream and egg mixture on top then more cheese then paprika

Nice job Mary! gonna have to find some smoked cheddar. try cooking the cheese n milk first so the Velveeta blocks melt before adding to your noodles but add your eggs after the cheese cools so they don't scramble. hope you don't get mad at me adding a tip, been watching for 4 years or so.
