Making ambient music using only the Moog Grandmother synth

Making an ambient song from scratch using only one synth (Moog Grandmother). I try to keep things very minimal and sparse and resist my urge to add melodies and chords 😂. The music is composed to some mountain pixel art I made the other day. #onesynthchallenge
Get the song on Spotify/iTunes/etc: distrokid.com/...
Brian Eno coined the term "ambient music" and I'd definitely recommend listening to his "Music for Airports" album for a good example of ambient music.
I'm using Ableton Live with some ValhallaDSP reverb plugins (Shimmer, Room and VintageVerb).

Good info, I may make some Ambi music - it’s relaxing for people to listen to and also therapeutic to make. There’s another couple of reasons too - friends I’ve known for over 20 years have referred to me as Mike Ambi (not because of the genre of music, I’m seriously into minimal techno) because I’ve owned an ex-ambulance since 1999. The other reason, and that’s what brought me here, is that I’ve just got a Moog G.Mother 2 days ago. So thanks for this video and the other vids where you have shared your knowledge of this incredible synth. P E A C E : )

I love Eno's ambient music like music for airport or the appolo album..I took so many nap with those :p Could you consider making a bandcamp so we could download your music ? If you need any help with this I would be happy to do it, but creating the design of a bandcamp page is fun imho :) Your ambient track is really really good, (like everything you did but do not think I just say that to please you :p I really mean it ::D ) Cheers and love to you !! This is a real challenge! Each time I try something ambient with nothing special catching the attention, no real melody nor chord progression, each time I come to a certain point when I ask myself "ok, this is a cool intro but when will I start the real piece ? !" For me it's like modern art, it is hard to stay just on the fragile line between cheating and intellectual fraud :-) Far from Bach or beautiful sequences of TD, I feel unsecured. My bad certainly! But I am grateful for the effort you have made!
