I am the proud owner of a 1980 Sachs Suburban moped. I use it to commute to class at my university. Problem is, it's really slow. Until now. Reuploaded to improve video and voiceover quality.

I just picked up a 1980 Sachs Prima moped. It has been sitting forever and is going to need some work. Really love that I'm not the only one excited about working on one of these! Keep posting, I'm here for it!

Back in 1987 I installed a #58 main jet in it and it’s top speed increased a bit. I had the fastest moped in our Heck’s Angels club

I’ve got a ‘77 Sachs commuter, and not knowing jackshit about mopeds I brought it to a shop when it started running funny. Payed $100 bucks for them to ruin my starter when all I had to do was replace the decompression valve. Anyway I was planning on upgradeing it to compete with my other mopeds and learn more about how they work, and this series looks like it could be a great help. Only found it cause of reddit.

Yea i own a special Sparta tour moped from 1975 and when i got it, it wasen't running. I didn't know jack shit about mopeds exept that they drive. So i messed around with it and got it to run. Not perfect, but the engine works. Exept it didn't drive. So i found this moped workshop close to me but to far away for me to drive to it on my moped. So i wend there in my car and fucking hell. They weren't able to help me because i need to bring the damn thing in first. So i wend back home and was like; fuck it. I am going to do it myself. So after like a week or 2 i got the damn thing all in order and now i drive every day on it! Once you understand how easy and simplistic they are you can literally do everything yourself. Got a pic of your moped? I would love to see. Here's mine: i.imgur.com/QnAej2l.jpg for some reason is the resulation weird...

😂😂😂 that’s so funny, I’m literally in the middle of a conversation right now about where’s safe to ride it. The way people drive nowadays, I don’t know many places where it’s safe to ride it.

You did nothing to explain about the parts you put back on the machine. Is that the same stock head cleaned up or aftermarket. Is that the same piston or aftermarket and is there more compression and what is it stock and what is it now. Things like this make a video. Not just taking something apart and putting it back together. Need some substance.
