Absolutely love silk bedding! It is so soothing to the skin and also cool. The ultimate is getting the silk comforter which is they have 100% silk on the inside. I got mine in Shanghai years ago and I absolutely love it. Would never switch to any other bedding. You will definitely love it.

I love the change when you show us travel and other parts of the UK. I travel there and like to show family how life is different than what we have in the USA. Scotland is my most favorite to visit, but is a bit gloomy with not a lot of days of sunshine. Still love watching you. God Bless. That is what we say in the USA if we care about someone.

I used to not like gray and rainy days but honestly, as long as it's fairly warm but not too hot, I love gray days now. It gets so hot and humid here in the Summer that when it's green outside but with gray skies, the landscape looks more green and it's cool enough to actually enjoy. I even like gray days in cooler weather now, because those days aren't as cold as clear, crisp days and Winters here can get quite cold at times. 😊

Might I suggest a 700 thread Egyptian cotton bedding. The feel is comfortably enjoyable, soothing and so comfortable to be wrapped in. It’s like cuddling with out another physical body next to you. Silk is luxurious and very soft but its not a perfect sweat absorber. I really enjoy visiting with you.

I like to do a bit of retsil therapy to boost myself too. Also I find meditating with some calming incense helps lift my mood. I’m finding it very warm at night too, even in NE Scotland! I sleep with an open window all year round & keep the bedroom door open but sometimes it’s not enough agsinst the heat. Good to jnow that the silk sheets worked.

I'm from Chicago but moved to West Clare Ireland nearly 6 years ago. I don't miss the hot summers in Chicago (no the frigid cold in the winter) so the Irish weather suits me well. We had a few weeks of what seemed like winter though and then for the past couple of days it was hot and sunny, which was a nice break. However, this afternoon it clouded up and cooled down and I felt invigorated. I can only take a couple of hot, sunny days at a time.

I was just on the Emirates web site and in their first class cabins they use 'anti-gravity' beds. So, I did some research and not only do people sleep better, but there are a bunch of health benefits to having your head and knees and feet slightly higher than your heart. That could be a great, long-term better sleep purchase to go with your silk sheets.

QUESTION: Would you consider creating a complementary line of bedroom linens to your candles? STATEMENT: I love silk, but find it hot.

Ha! I live in Chicago where the summers are hot and very humid and the weather in Edinburgh sounds perfect to me. The grass is always greener, I guess.

We are having a heatwave at the moment in Devon, and it is so hot at night, so have to have the fan on for most of it, in order to get any sleep. Lovely to see Sophie on your bed with you, I too share mine with a rather larger girl, a black rescue greyhound called Madge (she raced in Poole, Dorset, and her racing name was Devils Magic) she gets me out walking at least 5 times a day, in our lovely countryside here in Devon, but not for miles, as greyhounds do not need a lot of exercise, and sleeps the rest of the time, in between eating and drinking of course - sounds like a good life to me! Very interesting video Nicolas, great job! Yes, take good care of your precious eyes! Looks like you have very sensitive blue eyes like I do and many other fair skinned blue eyed people of English/Scottish/Irish background. I watched a fascinating documentary a few years ago about the evolution of the human body and scientists say that the most physically unevolved fragile part of our bodies are our eyes! Good to see you wearing sunglasses and that you have a eye mask as well. At age 73 I've worn sunglasses most of my adult life and now use a black eye mask/sleep mask too! One's eyes get more fragile with age, usually needing reading glasses by age 45 if not before! Now I'm a partially blind fine art painter, but am glad I had the use of both eyes when I was a fashion illustrator in NYC and a floral designer later on. Love London, too! Wish I had gotten up to Edinburgh when I was in the UK. On my bucket list! lol Enjoy the summer while it lasts! Cheers~

How right you are ! I swear by Lily Silk pillow covers. They work wonders, keep temples cool, are excellent for one's skin and, very important, for your hair as well. I couldn't do without them, and I take them along on travels or when staying at friends. I jand-wash them, they dry in no time. I also purchased from them some spaghetti-straps camisoles to be worn under blouses or sweaters : they act as a climate regulator and keep you deliciously warm when needed. Encouraged by both experiences, I ventured and bought a silk blazer with lovely gold buttons, in a "captain" style. The only thing is, always take a size above your own.

Thanks for taking us back to London. If ever Canada gets their flights not being cancelled and more organized and not so chaotic. I will start travelling back there, which I used to visit friends 5 times a year and miss is greatly, so thank a lot. Love Primrose Hill and usually stay in St. John’s Wood or Knightsbridge. Loved those sheets too. They also say linen is great too. Thanks for the book suggestion and of course thanks for showing us what you travel with. I too have many pairs of Rayban sunglasses and have to also wear them rain or shine because of my sensitive eyes. Remember living in London and so many people just don’t wear any sunglasses and I always thought a bit out of place, so happy you too wear yours 365 days a year, as I do. Nicholas, I do the same thing. It's halfway through the year already! Summer always seems to go by so fast and winter drags on and on like a preacher who can't shut up. I draw, and paint so in summer, I try to take my art outdoors as much as possible so that it doesn't feel so much like the summer has slipped by unnoticed. I love the sweaters (jumpers)! So elegant and classy.
