Movie popcorn has only 3 different things in the process. They use flavored and colored coconut oil for obvious reasons. They also put a dust solution which is called flavocol (search it up in amazon). It is something like dried butter flavoring with salt etc. Finally, they add a butter oil for a finishing touch and better overall flavour.

I have always wanted to make homemade Doritos using my own choice blend of cheeses and MSG. Just not financially feasible at the moment.
