@@mrs.hardbazzi interesting. It might trigger something on him. I guess because i was so used to art talking all the time and i miss it. When Brad is reading it feels like he is scared of interrupting Bobby and too soft of voice or maybe the set up they have at their house that i dont like. Brad should be with a mic behind the camera zooming in and out . Make it more personal like the videos in chicago. I have to admit that I have not watch some of the videos because the window in the back Makes a glare so he needs to be covered and the camera is Soum out so much that you cannot see what they’re doing. Hopefully they do something better in the new house

This is such a nice video to watch! My Baba emigrated from Sophia with others. She’s been gone now for 35 years 😔 This reminds me of when they would speak Bulgarian to her women friends. Such a sweet memory!

@Softskin Skincare Baba means grandmother in Bulgarian or maybe Macedonian - I’m not completely sure. My grandfather came from Macedonia and my grandmother came from Bulgaria.

I love that you're in Bulgaria... it's such a beautiful country! My sister moved to eastern side of Bulgaria (near Varna) for the peace corps and now lives there permanently. We're always getting great recipes from them and eat chopska salad almost every day in the summer! Nazdrave!!

I just loved the way you reacted to Rose and the electronics . no-one got upset in trouble and even tho she has way more then the usually one 1min attention span most children have momma & papa bear came to the rescue and took her attention somewhere else with a very powerful thing as electronics. OH MY GOSH .... when you said “soup”, I didn’t make the connection. My dad always made this and I still do today in the summer. We’ve always called it “cucumber soup”. Now I know what the actual name of the soup is, and the history behind it. I love this soup as well as my 24 y/o daughter, so this tradition will carry on! Thanks to your Baba for making this and educating me. The only difference is we do thin sliced cut in half.

I am from the deep south in Georgia fresh cucumber slice with good Vidalia onions and vinegar and water salt and pepper and made a little basil on it and it's to die for when I had my garden I ate it everyday as very figure friendly weight friendly if you will

I love watching your videos. You make it easy by naming what's good and what isn't and makes me want to strive harder to pay attention to the ingredients in the foods that I buy. On a different note...I get so nervous when Rose is left holding a ReAL glass 🤪 and when she reaches towards Items that she shouldn't. That knife grandma is using for example. 🤪 Lol! We LOVE Rose! So please be careful!😊 Can someone buy grandma a chopper? Poor thing has been chopping for days. 😟

I am Spanish and my mother used to make something similar with 🥒 , lettuce 🥬 green peppers 🫑 dressed with vinegar , olive oil, salt and finally cold water . Very refreshing. My mother was a country girl too and my father was a farmer so one can see the similarities.

@@amaresreal8360 hygiene, be clean, always wash food before cooking or eating. Wash rice before cooking or rice will be mushy, gluey

@@kellyb8237 washing rice is removing starch, has nothing to do with hygiene. When it boils again, remove water and out fresh water and season. This is an old method of cooking but it does remove starch

One of my favorite thing to make from my Baba is Leek Zelnick. I do cheat with puff pastry, where she would make and roll her own. I still call it zelnick even though my mom’s mom (yiayia) came from Athens where they call it tiropita or spanakopita.
