I filmed this video to try out a sunrise lighting style that I think looks pretty cool. I put my Amaran 100x with a fresnel lens outside the window to punch hard light into the kitchen across the stovetop. Then I had a large piece of unbleached muslin to bounce light back for a little fill. Then I ran the neg fill on the opposite side of the stove from the light source to keep nice rich shadows and control some of the ambient lighting from another window. This helped keep the color temp of the scene more consistent since there was overcast colder lighting coming in from the windows. Maybe I'll make a breakdown soon and show some behind-the-scenes of the lighting. If you want to practice your cinematography then making random videos like this one would be a great way to do it!
