If you want to learn to sew, projects like these are really great! They're simple and teach you the basics, but you still end up with a fun little project at the end. I've been sewing for probably close to thirty years now, and I still love doing little fleece tube and ramp covers for my chinnie girl- so simple and rewarding!

A tip if anyone wants to cut more evenly spaced holes; try using fabric chalk on the opposite side of the fabric that’ll be showing. Then just cut along the same way here but with the guide lines you’ve made! I love this little project! Simple and effective way to store hay. Never thought to bag it until now! ❤

Excellent! I've always wondered if fleece would work for hay bags. I figured the hay would get super embedded in the fabric.

I wanted a chin for super long but I releised that it would be a lot of work so I chose a simpler pet but I still love watching about the chin

Just a bit of info for those who don’t sew. These bags are made of fleece and you need to use fleece or other fabric that won’t fray. Not sure what damage small fibers could do to Chin innards but if a fabric is polyester it might be very dangerous.

Some random chinchilla stuff: From the 1st of July onwards, it isn´t allowed to adopt or buy chinchilla's in the Netherlands anymore. Tbh, I'm very happy. Chinchilla's aren't pets. They look cute and fluffy on the internet, but in real life, they require so MUCH care. We've read a lot about them, so we made an informed choice about adopting two chinchilla's. But it's really hard to know whether you're doing the right thing. To make it even worse, scientific literature on chinchilla's is lacking. We live in the Netherlands and we've arguably the best animal hospital in the world, it's located in Utrecht. They have a special clinic for 'exotic animals'. Even here, they lack expertise. So yeah, I think I want to say to y'all: please don't shop these animals. At least adopt them. We need to stop breeding them into existence. They aren't pets. They just aren't.
