Describes the initial steps in making 1 gallon of ginger mead. Follow up steps can be found: • Wine Making Process
Ingredients:
16 oz Ginger
3 pounds raw honey
1 gallon water
1 orange
1/2 lemon
1/2 cup raisins
1/2 teaspoon wine yeast
1/2 teaspoon bread yeast
During the first 3 days give your musk a good stir, and to break up the fruit cap that will form if you are not using straining bags. Rack into secondary after 5 - 7 days, and continue to rack every 4-6 weeks until clear. Degas, back sweeten, bottle let age for at least 12 months total.

I live in Iran and here an Islamic government runs the country and it is forbidden and a crime to prepare, distribute and drink wine, that is why people make it in their homes because it is not available in the market and your teachings are very good. It is instructive.

this channel is so great but I have been looking into the lemon juice and since it is a citrus it seems that your method is creating about 2-3 additional types of acids that any other acid wouldn't make. Wine makers specifically warn against citric acid being used. I understand it's a shoestring budget thing but wouldn't it be better to just not use an acid at all? Also why have you never tried natural fermentation with fruits in the store. I have still found a bountiful amount of great knowledge here and am enjoying my new-found hobby so thanks for the content I'll have to check the patreon out one day.

I thought it has been shown that raisins doesn't provide sufficient YAN to work as a nutrient.
