You can do this with two Ziploc bags too... Just put the ingredients of the ice cream in a quart sized bag, put ice and rock salt in a gallon sized bag, put the small bag with the ice cream inside the bigger bag (making sure it sealed) and just shake it checking it occasionally until it's at your desired thickness!

No, sorry, there's a special recipe that makes the ice cream much better.

It's rock salt that makes ice get colder faster than regular salt. So, if you crush up ice cream salt, then you have overpriced regular salt. (chemistry, right?) Anyway it's interesting how sodium and chlorine (both very toxic) combinw to create an edible compound. This is too in depth but I don't care. (edit) sorry for making this so long. I just lept typing.
