i guess i am that dumbb then, so what this video got thru to me was that inferences are just blatant assumptions based on the common sense of observation and having past experiences with the same thing on which you could base your conclusion and use the observed assumption as your evidence, idk wtf is wrong with me i think i think too much, someone halp :"(

Inferences use inductive and abductive reasoning to arrive at a reasoned conclusion. They are not 'blatant assumptions', but are instead the evaluation of evidence for the most _probable_ conclusion. Almost all knowledge/facts/information other than mathematical and some philosophical knowledge is gathered through inference.
