Could you do a video talking about what all is needed to get started with a laser business? What accessories are needed/helpful to have? What you would recommend for a beginner that isn’t a desktop machine but still easy to learn to use.

Hi Brandt! Thanks again for another great video. I like the 2nd version with the stitches better myself. I was wondering, is there a way that we can make the stitches bolder/fatter? Thanks for everything you do for our community. Cheers! Marco :)

Sorry if I missed this info, do you have an upgraded lens? I have the standard that came with the (same) laser ... and I get horrible charred edges - I cannot figure out how to reduce the charred leatherette and still CUT the patch out any suggestions? Thank you SO very much!

Hi, thanks for the video and your settings. Worked perfectly with my Aeon 100W laser. Exept when I cut or engrave a line, at every corner, for cutting, it is not cut trough and for engraving, it is a bit burned to much. Do you have sugestions for that? Thanks.

Loved the tutorial and just subscribed! Quick question - Do you clean the leather after engraving and before applying to a hat?
@BeardedBuildsCo
@BeardedBuildsCo 9 ай бұрын
If I am engraving with the air off then there is little to no residue and most of the time I will skip the cleaning unless I can see a need to.

A couple of questions. On the second patch (not the die cut patch, the inner line where you made the stitch line, if a person were to just leave it a line, would that engrave a solid line, and be used as a sew line or channel to sew with a sewing machine? Also, I have read that lasering leatherette or faux leather produces toxic fumes. Is that not an issue, or do you just make sure that you don't have any leaks and are venting 100% outside? Thanks for the videos and information.
@BeardedBuildsCo

This material is specifically designed for laser engraving and is not made with PVC products. Leaving the stitch line as just a line would likely score through your material more than you would like. Ultimately you would have to test and see if you can get a result that you like.

@@BeardedBuildsCo Okay, did the research on what to use. I have some leather, and will be ordering some product from probably Lonestar. One more question. On the stitch line, using leather heavy enough to cut a stitch line into ) 5-6 oz. veg tanned leather), is it possible to make that stitch line a different size as far as width? Not the width between the stitch groove/line, but the actual width of the stitch line, so I could match the width and depth of the size of my thread, which would be #92 bonded nylon (like you would use for much heavier leather. Thanks again!
