As Tokyo 2020 ends this theme still stands head and shoulders above all others. And still brings tears to the eyes and lumps to the throat. Well done Elbow, well done BBC. If only we could go back to 2012.

I'm in the US, so this theme won't be a part of our Olympics coverage. I wish it were. This mini-doc left me with a lump in my throat and a damp eye. Congratulations, London. Congratulations, UK. Well done!

Literally cannot describe how good this piece of music is. It completely encapsulates everything that the Olympics is about, power, beauty and pure emotion. Beautiful piece of music.

The first time I heard this was mid way through the first week. One thing I'll say for Elbow is they have a surprisingly distinctive sound. I knew this was them without any context.

Had to stop this halfway through when I heard/watched it at work cos I didn't want to start crying infront of everyone! Its great to find out the backstory specially the new baby aspect and to know all the research was completely emotionally present in the final piece without having it spelled out! love the inclusion of the animator talking about his influences towards the end... so moving. nice programme

I'm from London, and am so glad I waited until after the Olympics before moving abroad- it was one of the best experiences I've had. Thanks to all the organisers, athletes, volunteers and supporters who made those few weeks a special time to be in London.

Your reasoning is absolutely right but I think the JeyDee person bases his comment on what he has seen in this video, the thing about the UK people being the most creative pops up in his head as soon as he sees Guy Garvey and his friends here. I agree with your story of only personal experience, and if you base your 'experience' on external sources instead of yourself, it's obviously not yours and totally pre judgemental!
