love behind the scenes footage... sort of hope we get "bloopers" too..I know its not a comedy but its always fun to see when they're acting so seriously but sort of mess up...

Watching how all of this was produced is fascinating. I still wonder if it was necessary to delete some scenes for the duration to be 2 hours. Every $ is worth it.

Honestly on first watch I was expecting a modern day interpretation of the games like the first movies did, cheesy, no substance and just non stop action for the sake of it, but they really injected character, love and context to the actions, and fleshed them all out so well, and I really enjoyed this take and I cannot wait for the sequel cuz the possibilities for new characters is ENDLESS, this franchise has lit a new fire that will burn bright for many years to come and as a fan I LOVE IT!!!!.....

Listen, I really think Simon McQuoid is a genuine guy. Really a nice person and clearly he has a passion to make it right for MK fans. But he isn't a good director and this was his first gig. MK 2021 had a lot of problems. It did many things right, but it also made many mistakes. Same with the writer Greg Russo. I think if WB is smart, they get a new director and writer for the sequel. Let Simon be a producer for the movie so he can share his idea for the sequel to the new director.

The expectations were so high ... and they've failed the true MK fans. Thank you Simon McQuoid for wasting such an opportunity. I had the same expectations of Godzilla vs Kong, that seriously delivered and I will get my dvd or blu-ray. Only the look of the fighters and the fatalities are MK, the rest is a big screw up.

I agree with u on the writing of the story it was not good, but the movie as a video game movie film is alright it was fun to watch video game characters on the big screen, if they ever make the sequel I hope they learn from the mistakes from the first and drastically improve the second one when we’ll get the tournament.

I really like Liu Kang's over-the-top dramatic but straight-faced good guy act though. I guess it's weird that he's supposed to be carrying this noble duty but seems like he doesn't have any goals of his own. At the same time I can't get enough of his "aggressive little bunny" joke aimed at Kano. His deadpan delivery and that entire dinner scene always cracks me up. Point is, I find the movie to be brainless fun. I mean, f*ck Cole young, but the movie's fun to watch and rewatch.

Agree, it's a big disappointment. I didn't even see the end, I left during the film, both disappointed and angry. This is disgusting for true MK fans, only the fighters look good and the fatalities. The rest is a disgrace.
