India's pride, Vande Bharat train is a technological marvel entirely made in India, signifiying a commitment to revolutionizing railway infrastructure. With its state-of-the-art design, it offers world-class amenities, safety features, and a smooth ride. PM Narendra Modi Ji’s vision to fulfil the aspirations of India had transformed Indian Railways at its core. On 15th February 2019, dedicating India’s first semi high-speed train to the nation, Vande Bharat Express kick-started the era of manufacturing world-class trains in India.
This train embodies India's shift from importing world-class facilities to designing and producing them within the country. With 34 operational trains, Indian Railways aims to enhance the travel experience for over 2 crore passengers daily, reflecting the unstoppable journey of 21st-century India. Indian Railways will surely experience a transformation with modern and world-class Vande Bharat trains moving us towards Viksit Bharat by 2047.

It is good to see that Indian Railways is having so much of development lately but there are still so many fundamental things which need to be improved. Indian Railways must encourage innovation and manufacturing with our own expertise -- make in India will be driven from the Railways. People who stand in the way and create problems for their own vested interests must be shunted aside. After Vande Bharat suceeeded, the whole attitude has begun to change in the entire industry. Really great vision and never say die spirit of Mr. Sudanshu Mani and his team to make it a reality. I am glad this government has also recognized the achievement.

Respects to Honourable Minister. I draw your kind attention that the ongoing subject of 160 kmph was already made available in Indian Railways during 1977. I have traveled in August, 1977 in Tamil Nadu Express from New Delhi to Vijayawada 1750 kms just in flat 23 hours. I observed the notification of "This Bogie is fit to travel at 160 kmph" printed on the both rear side of the coachs. So, the 160 kmph was there 46 years ago. I request the Minister to arrange to verify my observation with Railways archives.

@mlg1279 That's the average speed. 160 kmph is the top speed. Some other trains like tejas and gatiman is also fit for 160kmph top speed. But there are very few routes to support such speed.

Would like to draw your attention to a few things a) Intro of fast goods trains with refrigerated units b) Phasing out of WAP4s and replacing with Vande Sadharan WAP5 c) Ergonomic guard compartments with bio toilets, AC and clean drinking water d) Use of good quality sheet metal for avoiding body warpings on loco's and passenger coaches e) Indegenisation of all imported components and involvements / incentives to startups Please look at them , espl the last one

❤❤If one minister takes the 240kmph Vande metro to fruition ie which allows 200kms in 1hr travel in India along with bullet that can transit 300kms/hr hsr/bullet long distance In the same track that would change India in next 3yrs .... We can make trains with 250kmph, also 300kmph.. it says a lot. Ashwini ji, I hope you read this, but do check local Australian trains. They are all double-decker trains with amazing passenger hauling capacity. If these are introduced in metropolitan areas, it'll be a game changer.

When people start to compare our systems to European one in a bad way, they don't understand that some European countries that they are talking about are not even large as compared to some indian states, that their population is really low and they havd had a great amount of wealth headstart as most of the European countries looted their colonies. Indian trains will run slow and accidents will happen until railway tracks and infrastructure is not modernized. While planning we should keep China in mind how they modernized their railway with a excellent safety record despite being having the largest fast/ super fast train network in the world.

Huge respect sir, but we have to work on below points, please promise us that this would be taken care sir: 1) Kavach system on all trains including freight trains. 2) Both side boundaries of the rail tracks to save entering the animals which will save their lives: a) This point came since I heard 7 Elephants including 2 baby Elephants killed in Assam colliding with a high speed train, this was a heart breaking incident and the shameful part is after this incident too many Elephants were killed in different incidents. b) Killing of cattles which roam for the food. 3) If we want to compete with China or overtake them then our train speed should be more than or equal to their train speed which is 300kms +. More speed with safety ofcourse and I know under Modiji's leadership we can achieve this. 4) Please increase rail network and operations in Saurashtra, NE, Rajasthan. 5) Please include Pashupatinath, Janakpur, Pokhara in Nepal to the rail network as our Nepalese brothers and sisters will get huge benefit, religious point of view its good and strategically will help India.

Where is the man behind this train i.e. Shudhanshu Mani? He not only dreamt this train for India but also built in just 20 months (before his retirement). Govt. was already decided to import foreign semi high speed trains, but this man built Train 18 (Vande Bharat) only cost of 1/3rd of budget. A man who hold feet of railway board chairman, for permission and budget for this train. Who will tell this?

It happened at almost all the states - but never happened in Tamil Nadu and Puducherry. Most of tracks in Tanil Nadu and Puducherry have Single Line tracks only. However, the revinue to the indian railway is high from this section.

Initiative is good. I would request to look at trash problem on the tracks and near by tracks on both sides. It would be appreciable if cleaning is automated through huge vacuum machines on wheels. Which would be faster and convenient. Please also initiate the advertisement to not throw trash outside while traveling in trains and also not to throw trash inside train. People should feel ashamed to throw trash outside just like that. It is sad and also feels bad to visualize while traveling on trains to see trash around the tracks. It feels like traveling in trash sometimes. It is not to show bad picture. But sometimes reality has to be acknowledged and actions has to be taken.

Respected sir, hope so u see my comment, it doesn't matter what is the maximum speed of train, still the average speed of train is just around 70 kmph of many vande bharat,. It is just similar to already existing shatabdi and raajdhani, with fare around 1.5 time of shatabdi and raajdhani. Please make modifications in railway tracks, only that it is fruitful to have vande bharat. Hope so u will see it with concern.
