This is the map I've been waiting for! Not just trees and rocks but not like chalk full of cities!.

Fact is, Duck, if someone who is well-versed in survival playing PZ, they have a bit of knowledge if the SHTF in real-life. See, I am the opposite: I grew up farming, hunting, and trapping, becoming a hardcore gamer later in life, with the former helping with playing PZ. I say "later in life," since I was close to 30 when I started gaming and now have 20 years of experience under-my-belt. Great content, as always.

Yknow I gotta say I have mad respect for a guy who openly proffesses to be a Proud Overweight Neck Beard Gamer...All you need is a Fedora Brother, and the Circle is Complete. I love it Brother! Oh wow. I've never had much of an interest in the wilderness survival aspect of zomboid and the mods for it but I might have to actually have to try this map and a bunch of mods out.

I see there’s a couple vehicle spawns on the Lost to Nature map. I don’t think there were any vehicle spawns on the Forest map so that’d open a whole new avenue of fun for me lol. This will be interesting to experience with all the new B42 additions.

thank you for making this, I have wanted a larger scale map with this setting for a very long time. the vanilla time passing can be interesting, but I really want decayed and detailed buildings and locations.

Thanks, i always wanted to play a true forest survival setting in pz but never ended up crafting myself a modpack suited for this. The map is just the nice extra

The game mode I most want to play is a ultra hard city building/base defense where each one have a specific role in the city and a horde come attack the city from time to time

The ship map mod that’s near West Point is very good I’m currently running a playthrough with it I’m on day 19 and I’m making the ship my safe house

I always thought PZ map modding was a lot more archaic and harder to use, I remember seeing setting up forage zones having to be done in paint on a layer using colors and baking that layer on top of the map, not just a click-drag square. Obviously it’s still a hard and tedious process but it looks much easier than before or what I previously thought. Might just be the motivation I need to make a map mod for PZ when B42 drops. I’ve wanted to make one based on my home town since 2017, and I’ve been around modding for well over 10 years yet have not made anything myself. If I could make any mod, it would be a PZ map.

I wish they would add NPCs to the game. It's a bunch of new game modes. For example, a game mode without zombies, in a peaceful city, play as a detective or a builder, or a fireman, or even a criminal-thief-killer!

To account for the "wouldn't they just rot away or be bones after a while" comment: Max Brooks of the "World War Z" and "Zombie Survival Guide" touches on this in his work. The virus that causes zombification also sort of preserves the body and greatly reduces decay because other bacteria can't form in a zombified body. Zombies exposed to the elements (like freeze/thaw cycles or high humidity rainforests) would still rot away faster, but any that were in more mild climates or trapped indoors would be dangerous and mobile for extended periods of time. Maybe that's the reasoning here? Highly recommend both of those books, by the way.
