What a glorious makeover Sweet April!! It looks like a completely different space & is absolutely cozy & cottagey feeling. That hutch your mother in law got on market place is just gorgeous!! Thoroughly enjoyed re watching this episode as part of the whole package 100 yr old Cottage Makeover - So much fun! I can only imagine what it must be like for your in laws to wake up to this brand new clutter free aesthetically pleasing, comfy space...it must feel like a breath of fresh air! ♥

I just went back and watched the decluttering video where you told about how the house got that way during the pandemic so it makes more since.

Absolutely stunning. Love how she did the glass cabinet!! Tip for vases, criss cross scotch tape over the opening and then insert the flowers, branches it will hold up awesome and not show!

What another great job, I dream of jadeite wow, I am also a firm believer that the only things that should be in storage are seasonal decor. You need to have your things out to enjoy it all. If you can't you need to declutter, but that's me lol. Beautiful 💖💖💖💖💖

Wow. What an astonishing difference! I personally love antiques/ quality thrifted finds and family heirlooms and can appreciate the sentimental aspect of how much sincere contentment she must feel having her things on display. And, that sideboard she scored on marketplace is a stunner.

Oh, it's stunning. It's not only elegantly beautiful (elegant comes up a lot for me with this make-over) so it's only only beautiful it's also comfortable and welcoming - it invites you in to have family moments. I keep veering from thinking it has a 20's feel through to 40's - and I love it. I hope all the family come over and are able to enjoy the space. Little pup really goes very well with the new look - it could be designed for him.

The results are fantastic! I'm not a maximalist, but my mother is, and I appreciate how you worked within your mother-in-law's style. I even like the (for lack of a better term) slouchy, casual arrangement of the green dishes on the table. It looks intentional. If this isn't too forward, I have a suggestion for the breakfront (that is what we call those; some people might say buffet - I think the key with a breakfront is that it has a back piece with a mirror). In terms of displaying the green dishes, I have a tweak as a suggestion. Try stacking the dishes not so much by type but as little sculptures. So for example, stack 6 dinner plates under 4 salad plates under 2 saucers, under 1 teacup. Then set several teacups nearby. Next to this create a thinner, shorter tower with just salad plates and saucers. Behind this, display a dish on its side just by leaning it between stacks and the mirror, or set it into a sturdy easel. Add additional interest with other pieces such as gravy boat or teapot. The point is, treat the set-up as sculptural. I actually think this is what you did in the china cabinet which looks lovely. -So enjoying your videos!
